None of them are fake - Mayweather is in the Mirror Enterprise episodes and Beverly is in the Mirror Broken comics - which they're clearly focussing on this mega event.

Well, thank you DB for issuing another fake character in Mirror Beverly Crusher 5*. That means for the second week in a row I have zero interest in pulling an event pack and can save my dilithium :-)

Actually, they're all fake. None of these characters are real, no matter what Benny Russell would have you believe. He's fake too, so you can't trust him.
Noob who played for awhile and then took a year or more off and recently started again so can someone tell me what's involved in expedition events?

Just as a side note ... even 2*s & 3*s that are event crew related (e.g. Boomer Mayweather, Commando Crusher) can be really handy for the Expedition section of the event ... especially if you don't have a deep crew ... they can mop up the VP rewards for the lower level missions (Normal) because they do not tire so fast ... then you can save your star crew (e.g. the new Mirror crew you'll have picked up) for the tougher missions.
So this is really more of a TNG-comic mega event than a Mirror one.
But thanks to DB for not doing an interesting event over Christmas. I really won't mind not getting some of the least interesting Trek characters of all time.
I also agree with the dissatisfaction over spacing out the existing threshold rewards. Add more by all means, but don't make it harder to get what we normally do.

Please don't be melodramatic. By definition most characters have been canon from the show, and have included much-asked-for characters like Mirror Jadzia and Mirror Mayweather.

Well said. People keep getting hung up on whether a made up character is too made up for a made up game using made up characters. They are ALL "fake", so far as we know. Unless Heinlein was right about Pantheistic multiple-ego solipsism. In that case, we owe Wesley an apology for hurting his actual real feelings......

But, it would have also benefited the players affected by the holiday. Now, clearly that was never the intention. Don't even give the people helping to pay the bills a reach around, I guess.....

I also feel the need to point out that Mayweather and Vic were very heavily hoped for when the Event was announced. In three Events of the four, we have already gotten two Crew that were fan favorites.....

No it doesn't, they are very different. Also there's nothing at all that says Mirror Broken is non-canon at all (granted, there's nothing that says it is either) it's an officially licensed product from Star Trek, so there's a good chance that it actually is canon when they get round to saying that it is.
Mirror Broken is more realistically canon than Timelines actually is, when you think about it.
1. it gives lower level captains a chance to finish the rewards!
if they do actually extend the event but make the rewards harder to achieve. that will seriously **tsk tsk** for new players!! and remove the major benefit of expedition events. and the whole point in extending for the holidays to allow people to take time away from the game...
2. some people drop a ton of cash into the game instead of playing and grinding. expedition events stop a lot of people from buying their way into the top of the leaderboard because you have to spend TIME instead of MONEY!
3. Save your chronitons, equipment, and transmissions instead of burning them up.
this is perfect for
-starting out captains
-those who cant afford the $134 packs every week
Perhaps that is why expedition events have gone to the side. not encouraging people to buy packs.

It's called not pointing out the obvious. It's Christmas. People don't work around Christmas. It's sort of a major holiday. People usually spend it with their families.

I think you're the only person who hasn't noticed that this mega event is a tie in with the IDW comic series.
I'll try to save you some frustration this time next week - you should expect the last event to include a character from that comic as well.
