Are we sure the Tasha is from "Justice?" I mean, it makes sense, but they could go all non-canon on it, too.
There's no way it isn't...That's the only time she was really a "Duelist", unless there's an episode I don't know about where she plays Yu-Gi-Oh.
I typed Justice, but meant Code of Honor. But, yeah, it's probably that Tasha.
Lol I couldn't remember the name of the episode but figured we were talking about the same one.
Horrible episode, and one of the reasons I never really liked Tasha. Some later episodes made her better but...she just wasn't very likeable.
Well... none of them were really likeable in S1.
By the second half of S1 Worf, Data and Picard were all pretty likeable. But I agree that S2 was when the entirety of the bridge crew actually felt like they had real, fleshed-out personalities.

As someone else mentioned, filling CMD slots is going to be a problem this weekend. The only 2 bonus crew that have any CMD at all (at least according to what I was able to find on the wiki) are Warship Yar and Aviator Yar. And their CMD stats aren't great. I'm doubting there will be much of that skill in the new crew, either, with SEC surely being big for all three, who will likely also have the "Duelist" trait. So folks with those Yars will have a tiny advantage, but everybody else will be in pretty much the same boat, at least.
Could you please continue the petty bickering? I find it most intriguing. ~ Data, ST:TNG "Haven"
This has happened from time to time to me, there seems to be a bug in the game
Somebody gave a perfect explanation, I wish I could remember who to give them credit. DB creates a new faction for faction events to track difficulty and leave the old difficulty alone. When the event ends the correct faction gets put back in, but the UI doesn't update itself correctly and requires a restart to stop displaying the event faction that's no longer referenced.

Picard and Q were the only two remotely interesting characters in season 1. I can maybe see Data but really the writing was so awful in season 1. If Yar had stuck around I definitely think she would have been one of the more interesting characters as the show progressed.
Lol, that's a good one. Not sure Bones could have found his way to engineering. It would be nice to have a couple good MED/ENG people for voyages though. Apparently Doctor La Forge forgot most of his engineering ability when he started solving crimes.

I was looking at that exactly today. Got Delta Flyer Paris. Rianna Mayweather and Da Vinci...

Guy operated on a Torpedo with Scotty in Undiscovered Country--- that sounds like a secondary/tertiary ENG to me.

Could be like Klingon Neelix -- art is canon, the character not quite.
Klingon Neelix was canon though, he was in the episode Killing Game part 2.
Admiral of the Haus of GaghGagh, Starbase level 94, we are not accepting members at this time.
Captain of the voyage vessels: Queen of Bashir, Landsknecht, and Sunspear, the first luxury starship cruiseliners.
Amenities include wifi, fully-functioning holodecks, a full-service bar, 3 party decks, a Trill spa, and a business centre.
Fun fact: The ships are propelled by bouncy castle technology.

Hirogen programmed Neelix to think that he was a Klingon
Yes but if you read the text of the event he came in on, he was a KCA adjunct to Mirror Regent Worf.
Like I said, might be canon art but exactly character canon. They did the same thing with Agent Janeway from that same ep who all of a sudden was a Section 31 operative.

I don't think that makes the character non-canon like giving Agent Janeway the Section 31 trait does. More like a canon character in a non canon role due to DB's non-canon storyline. Admiral Riker isn't non-canon because in the story he oversees the cadet missions.

Neelix in game is not the same character. He looks like him, but sorry, he's the Mirror Klingon Neelix as far as the story goes.
Admiral Riker was present in All Good Things, he just has extra to do in game.
Maybe its a split hair but it ain't the same thing.
Bonus crew:
• high bonus: event crew
• small bonus: variants McCoy, variants of Seven of Nine and variants of Yar.
Event factions: Maquis, Klingon Empire, Hirogen
Thanks for the update. Hopefully we get 2 man shuttles back and lots of AND slots. These weak crew secondary event crew are going to make for lots of frustrating failures.
I’ll support more Bones variants but a MED/ENG combo sounds more like Dr. Crusher territory...her experience with cybernetics has to count for something, right?

What about Sela?
She isn't a variant of McCoy, Seven, or Yar, so odds are pretty slim that she will receive a small bonus.

Why would she count? She was Tasha's daughter... Does Wesley count for Beverly bonus crew?

No, he doesn't. And the reasoning has been mentioned many times before on this forums (I know you know, I'm more responding to the post you quoted).
During events with characters that have very few or no variants, they will sometimes expand the "pool" of bonus characters.
During the Lal event, Data counted as a variant for instance. But during Data events, there are enough Datas to provide a bonus, so Lal was not bonus crew. Same thing with Jake and B. Sisko, Sarek and Spock etc.
DB has done this very consistently so it should be expected at this point (unless of course you weren't around for the previous events, but seriously, there's a pattern, so the older players should know this by now).

A square is a polygon, a polygon is not necessarily a square. I don't know why people have problems with this every time. Main characters are related when the one off character is in an event, but that doesn't mean that the one off is related when the main character is in the event. DB has been very consistent on this. People don't need to keep asking every time.

Cause she is the same actress. Probably Sela wont count but she should. Not many Yars have been released.

The only time relatives have counted AFAIK is when there's no variants of the relevant character. When Lal was in an event, there were no other Lals, so Data had to be used to give some bonus characters. In Tasha's case there'll be three variants, ergo no relatives. The fact that three is not many is immaterial. Three is more than zero.

If there were any reason to include Sela, it'd be because she's Tasha's daughter, nothing to do with the actress.
Otherwise Shran would count for Weyoun and Brunt , Kolos would count for Martok etc. None of which makes any sense.
But in any event, Yar does have multiple variants, as does Seven and McCoy, so they're not going to include these "secondary" variants (again, just like how Lal doesn't count for Data events).
It is literally the same every single time, it's not surprising.
