Reading all this I am asking myself if it wouldn't be an adequate solution to limit each crew to one use per ship. That would save us from 3 identical Polywater Yars on a single ship however powerful they might be.
Other idea: Do beta-testing, DB!
DB isnt going to respond. Any excuses they make will not be well recieved and they do not want to do adequate compensation. So instead db is just letting people rant and ignoring them hoping that people will then move on. I saw this same tactic over and over with kixeye in Vega Conflict. They would release a new ship that was good and sell craft deals to lvl the ship up. Then kix would immediately nerf it after and offer no compensation or apology. Sad to see db going down the same path, I thought they were a better company. I guess profits are down and all the layoffs are affecting quality control. Guess I will give this company a little more time to see if they change their ways and improve or repeat this blunder over and over.

I have yet to get legal advice. However, I now know from terms of service it is now just a matter do I want to higher a lawyer. First and foremost it would be much easier as class action case. So that would be legal advice I would need still.
There have been many attempts to limit class action suits so I do not know what that situation is.
Basically DB is offering this in compensation: "If you have purchased any "An Even Field" event packs containing her, we can reverse the purchase by removing the crew gained from those packs and returning your Dilithium."
I declined this offer though I would have been willing to accept an equal offer of a citation or just a different card. The dilithum would be less then I already have and I would have no guarantee of getting another *5 guy.
Like I said, an even trade would be fair, what they have offered is not equitable.
You bought a pack, they changed the value of the pack and are now offering a full refund for returning the pack, that seems pretty fair. If you want to argue that they should refund packs that were purchased attempting to get Yar, that is reasonable. But asking for a citation or a 5* of your choice is providing you with greater benefit than the card was worth originally. That doesn't seem fair to anyone.
I would just add that I found CS to be incredibly reasonable when it came to my request for the boosts I used to rank under 1k. So they are doing more than returning packs if your request is reasonable.
Too bad CS is pulling the same shenanigans again with inconsistent replies.
I asked for the time boost refund, and they flat out refused.
As a good analogy, Imaging you went out to dinner and you order filet mignon - Medium rare, but then the meal comes, and it is just a lump of overcooked ground beef.
The restaurant says that they are sorry you misunderstood the menu, they have a right to adjust the ingredients to balance their kitchen. However, they will offer you a refund on the steak, but you still need to pay for your drinks and the appetizer. Now, you've wasted money, wasted time, didn't get what you ordered and your whole night was ruined, would you go back?
If the restaurant instead said that they were sorry, substitutes a fantastic rack of lamb, and comped you part of the meal you would probably give them another chance. This sums up how DB treats its customers vs businesses in the real world.
I posted this on another thread should have posted it here.
Notice negligence is also right for them being liable. Also it does say Fraud.
Edit: You know it just may mean injury and death.
Now I still need advice. But nowhere in these terms does it say it has the right to rebalance.
And as I said before, you cannot make what is illegal, legal.
And that is the main reason for that statement.
What it does is allow them in their terms to say something illegal only to strike it down with the above statement. Keeping the terms binding because it supersedes them.
Edit: none of the terms can take away consumer rights. Do not need advice on that issue, just class action advice if it gets down to that.
Support removed my 1/5 Yar and replaced 650 dilithium, without me having approved it. They offered it to me, but i declined and made another suggestion for compensation.
Then got reply saying , sorry not possible, but i removed ur 1/5 Yar for 650 dilithium added to your account.
This is HUGE BS! I never agreed to, because 1 legendary is for sure more worth than just 650 dilithium, considering the rate drop rates of legendaries. And i only did 1 pull at all.
You had a Legendary, not a Super-Rare. If they want to replace Monowater Yar with dilithium, it would need to be 6500 dilithium, as that is what DB charges for a pack with a guaranteed Legendary.

agree with 6500, due to fact chance of Legendary is 10%
I think Squirrel should get 15,000 dil as that is what DB values them in the faction stores. I wouldn’t hold my breath on any of this. As the movie line goes it’s not what you know it’s what you can prove. Fraud is hard to prove especially in games like this. It is also hard to prove actual worth of anything here because it is all totally valueless outside the game. Inside the game because people have paid what the prices are, any refunds that are given are those same prices. That is all that is owed. Time spent is time you chose to spend, it isn’t real damages. It’s like you buy a ticket for a show and waited two days in line to buy it, then they give you a different show, you aren’t entitled to time spent in line it was a choice and it isn’t fraud either. Most any excuse would do. Best solution is to quit spending money and quit praising those who continue to spend huge amounts of money to win. Until that stops and the coffers dry up to the point of pain nothing substantial will change.

If you walk into a store and buy a TV on sale, and then return it because it's defective, how much is the store likely to give you? Pretty sure they won't give you a penny more than you spent.
Some of you guys need to chill out - it's a game, DB didn't punch your child. Yes, you've spent your hard earned cash, but really - there are worse things than a company nerfing the value of pixels on your computer screen in an online game, and we should count our blessings if this is the most concerning thing going on right now in our lives. Submit your ticket to DB or even Google/Apple, ask for what you think is fair, and breathe. Lawyers and class action lawsuits? You're gonna spend more than what you lost on Yar, and waste more time than if you'd be playing an Expedition non-stop for a week.

Not only does that TV analogy clearly not work here, but I think you've misunderstood my comment. I'm not saying we should get 6500 dilithium in exchange for Yar. I think that's ridiculously over the top. Dilithium isn't the way to replace Yar, because it would have to be 6500.
And there's only one person posturing and making empty threats about contacting lawyers and setting up class-action lawsuits. Thankfully, most people are ignoring them.
This isn't much more than when a Voyage is lost because of something on DB's end. Of course they don't legally have to do anything more than the bare legal minimum. And of course we are not sitting at home, urgently tapping Refresh on our inbox and putting our lives on hold while waiting for a response (well, except maybe for Lawyer Guy).
We've submitted our tickets, and they're going to help out properly because it's the fair thing to do. It's just taking a little longer to sort out because it's a nonstandard issue (and, I'm guessing, because Shan isn't here!).
And hey - while we're waiting, some of us have taken two minutes to comment on the Timelines forum about this unresolved Timelines issue. And of course Zombie Squirrel is allowed to voice their frustration when a customer service rep makes an obvious mistake.
Although I do think you've forfeited your right to ever complain about anything in this game with your crudely reductionist comment "there are worse things than a company nerfing the value of pixels on your computer screen in an online game". Nice to see the fallacy of relative privation wielded so bluntly!
Keep your money safely tucked away or they will never learn. The only real way to combat this is to force value by refusing to fall into the spend trap.
more like price gouge after yargate. previous specific 1/5 offers were sold at $10
I have to admit, that is insult to injury, Im just like wow lol
thankfully already have killy, or otherwise id be tempted and then hate myself;)
so will they nerf killy too after everyone buys one? ;p
Why I'd take that chance @$9.99, but not for $24.99.
Not offering any obvious deal different than previous ones (ie killy is newer than the other previous legendaries for $9.99) just tells DB I'm a sucker rather than DB showing some respect to the players.
So offering a newer gold at the older gold price would have made a nice olive branch. This says the complete opposite with $24.99 price but only $9.99 worth of vip
Has anyone else heard back from CS? I haven't heard back from CS since last week, when they said they were investigating the issue and update once they have a resolution.

Friend of mine got refunded 4 citations they had used on Yar. Personally I'm still waiting for a response back for the dilithium I spent and shuttle boosts I wasted.
The only response I have heard is a refund in dil IF they can remove everything I got in my Yar purchase. Why do they continue to act as though this is real money? Either give me a bunch of honor or the Legendary of my choice.
I haven’t been this irritated since they screwed up the last It Came From the Holodeck rerun.
Just got the finger from DB on my ticket. Wallet closed from now on
Come join our fleet! We're a great social group that helps each other. You play the way you want to, participate as much as you want and if you want to be competitive, you can be! Check out our fleet ad:
The answer to my ticket says that "If you bought the $100 or $50 or $25 offers containing Yar, we are able to offer an exchange of Dilithium of equal value, however, we need to remove all of the contents contained in those offers".
While it's completely natural for them to return what we spent on buying packs, they say nothing about a compensation for actually playing the event. Like the four wasted days meant nothing. I wanted Yar for the skirmish event, but she was totally useless after the nerf and I already had better crew in my roster. A legendary of my choice would be the proper compensation, but if they don't give us this option I think I'm done with this game.

You might want to amend your post so that it doesn’t include the name of agents, that’s frowned upon in the forum. [edit - actually I think it’s against the rules]
Re your last paragraph, I’ve had a firm NO on any compensation for levelling Yar and the resources used to finish sub-1000, but I’m still discussing it with them as I’d rather reach a fair deal here than have to request refunds from Apple.

They usually find a response that is reasonable, but it takes a while and they step on their own ducks a lot before finally doing it.
