I received the product Monday and that was what I received on Wednesday the product was changed.
Word of mouth of a product is advertisement. DB knows about the existence of Wiki and employees have helped with entering of information. The above picture was put on their forum showing us what the product contained. And oh yes, you most certainly do not have to buy this product to know what you are getting before hand.
That said, it is DBs headache and not yours🖖

I'm not angry at db for having to change Polywater. It's an online game, bugs cropping up from time to time is par for the course. The complete lack of contrition on the part of CS however is another matter entirely. DB made a mistake, moving around a few bytes of data to satisfy customers after the mistake costs db nothing and can ensure good will from the playerbase. So why are they being so stingy with refunding dilithium to reverse the mistake?

Nobody asks for dilithium refunds because these chanted are so minor. Vampire Yar had her ship abilities almost completely reworked without a prior announcement, turning her into someone worthless to have spent extra time and money to acquire.
DB should never have released her like that, and they definitely needed to announce the changes before nerfing her (along with reaching out to people who paid money for packs or grinding missions to get her). They didnt and as a result have angered a lot of people instead of a few.

If I remember correctly, it took several days for DB to fix the Mirror Picard situation. They have had less than two days to fix this one.
I know its been kind of said already;) But Id like to hammer in the detail for effect.
How exactly did we "misinterpret' anything? we were mislead certainly, and the officer was definitely and blatantly misrepresented, I think that was the word they were looking for, this is just a backhanded way of avoiding taking responsibility and place it on us instead of them. All in efforts to avoid the backlash of refund requests that are and will be coming.
As I mentioned in the other thread, I also got a message with “misunderstanding” from CS. The initial email seemed to suggest that I was confused and that the ship ability was changed for everbody and it’s not just me!!! When I clarified again that I want compensation for going for rank (due to false advertising) and wasting resources to level a now worthless crew, CS said he will investigate the issue and update once he has resolution.
Not sure if the particular CS is just waiting to check with his supervisor or if DB is trying to figure out how to handle the tickets and has told CS to hold off.
Am waiting for their investigation and will escalate if I don’t get fair compensation.
They also quoted me their TOS suggesting it was their right to rebalance. The issue is rebalancing is totally understandable when it happens over time and are small tweaks. But the change to Poly Yar was so big that it fundamentally changes the nature of the card - from being a killer in the arena and Skirmishes to completely useless. And then there is the bait and switch timing!

They have done this before. They are trying to determine a compensation.
And they do not want to compound it by incorrect compensation before they make a decision. Keep in mind they could still restore the ship ability back to what it was.
Edit: Though they did compound the issue by not pulling the cadet offers and pack sales down once they found out there was a problem. Instead as SilverRose pointed out, they left them up until their normal termination. (We do not know if they were looking into it on Monday or not, so whether cadet offers would have expired already we do not know)
They should have pulled them. Then made an announcement of a problem with Polywater. And said, "They will be returned and allowed to stay up for the time they had left when removed."

I am glad you are satisfied with what you received. I feel that I would not be so I would rather keep what I have then risk more dissatisfaction. Yeah, Polywater Yar is not a very useable card for me but I may need her in the future for another event. So I feel anything I do at this point other then keep her is going to be a loss for me.
And what is the real stinker is DB is now blatantly ignoring people. I know of a few (myself included) upon reading DB'S terms of surrender. And having rejected it and offered our idea of a compromise. 1 has had their ticket closed(no deal was reached) and no reply sent to the rest of us. This is the ultimate low for DB. Shan if your listening. Fix this!!! This is a blatant screwup. Had DB left well enough alone they might've had more revenue earned from yar. Now they could be facing a shortage due to the nerfing.
