I'm running the Discovery with Leland/Commandant/Killy/Conditioned La Forge. Geordi's Crit bonus right before activating the Commandant + Killy + the ship's attack at 6s is enough to take out the opponent immediately more than two thirds of the time. The rest of the time, Leland seems to be sealing the deal.

I am doing the same on the T'Ong, CondLaForge then Killy. Almost always instaKill.
I'm using a combo of Conditioned LaForge (accuracy & critical), Killy (attack & 400% damage) and AU3947 (evasion & 20% speed) as a lethal combination after the cloak is finished on the T'Ong. I finish them off with a secondary combo of Prez (attack & critical) and magnetic pulse (350% damage) once Killy runs out, if need be.
Thanks to some bad luck I missed with all three instant damage abilities and suffered my first ever skirmish defeat against the Reliant. Have switched from Cube to IKS so I can cloak if needed in future, no problems so far
Okay, so I’ve run a few rounds on the Krayton with the following and it seems to be working alright:
2/5* Killy
1/5* RP Commandant
4/5* Thrax
2/5* Captain Scott
...
Thanks for this tip, I would have defaulted to T'Kong otherwise ... Conditioned La Forge 2/5, Captain Scott 2/5, Killy 5/5 and RP Kirk 2/5 are also insanely fast on the D-K ...
Am I the only one struggling with the Krayton? I just have way more success with my lineup on other ships.
No. I won, but struggled earlier. I don't have Killy, and I gather that would make this easier. I tried lots of different crew before settling on this. I find a good, quick defensive crew is essential. A huge issue with the Krayton is the first battle. For whatever reason that is the hardest.

Still, overall this setup is working well.
I'm sure there are better options than Georgiou on your crew.
If you have to have Evasion there, then try either Doc La Forge or Rakal Troi ... their passive stats are a ton better so your battles will be over faster ... R. Troi can't activate her special ability though so Doc might be better.
Put Conditioned La Forge in seat #3 and Doc La Forge in seat #4 to get skill bonus abilities.
Other good options are 1701 Jadzia, Gralik Durr, etc. Scientist Degra if you have him. But they all mean Conditioned La Forge needs to go to seat #3.
They all have passive stats that are a mile better than Georgiou's and that also have Evasion (though most come online later with special ability).
Thanks. I'll look into them, but almost all of those suggestions are frozen. I may also get the campaign premium track and go with Leland. I'll check after work.
Just looking at some other purples you may have out Robin Hood ain't bad never considered him before but adds 8 to accuracy and +20% attack speed - has a slow init but if you use the krayton's speed up ability the inconvenience is negligible and has a good evasion passive stat.
Voq is another possibility.

I don't get why this setup is working well... why have mountaineer spock with his 10k crit bonus when you already have crit bonus from laforge? aren't you going super all-in being dependent on getting a crit?
I'm not trying to be critical, I just am wondering if I'm missing something in strategy.
My strategy is using crew with my fastest initialize times. Usually, I use the bounty with its cloak and just wait and then power hit everybody with better crew.

That's one of the advantages of using the Krayton because of the power surge ability you don't need to worry about init or cooldown times so much as long as they aren't uber long like 10 or 12 seconds.

I am getting far fewer chrons than in other skirmishes. I know there is randomness in what prizes you get so I wanted to see if others were getting less chrons as well.

I noticed the same last skirmish
Then Phase 2 happened, and it flipped on my, chrons everywhere.
I feel I'm getting less too, but I figure it's just RNG hating on me this skirmish. I have gotten a few sets of chrons in a row followed by long dry spells. At most I'm getting back 50% of what I spent I feel like. But I'm getting tons more honor...so that's nice!
And I just barely got 300 chrons, so RNG likes me again...

I wouldn’t use RP Kirk on the Krayton.....his 500 insta kill only comes into play from cloak which that ship doesn’t have.
I have seen the promised land. This is my first time running a Skirmish with a maxed out Krayon with 3 crew members who can do 400% burst damage. The chrons just keep coming and the enemy ships keep melting. I love Skirmishes.
The Krayton is the only way to go. Been my ship of choice since I started playing this game
There are two types of skirmishers. Those who use the Krayton and those who have small lobes.
As someone who has been touting the Krayton since the first skirmish, I'm glad that with the ship ability rework, intoduction of Killy (and now Commondant) it's only gotten stronger and more and more people have come around.
Now if I'd only invested in the D'Kora Shipyards...

Q'Vat is probably my favorite place to do Skirmish/Arena battle.
It is easy on the eyes.
Beautiful.
I like to at Starbase 12 in the Ceti Alpha system for the same reason.

Commandant, Killy, Conditioned La Forge, and Leland in that order
I am however dropping intel quite rapidly, meaning i'm getting less chrons at the moment.

@Shan @SunshineRiker
Shan already said that yesterday:
"However this time there should be enough schematics to unlock the new ship via threshold rewards "
Okay, Thanx. I did not see it. I have limited time and did not read the entire thread.
And yet there you are - in every thread. ☺
