Final rank 169 - so I overcooked that slightly, but once I saw I was hovering around the hundreds on the weekend I figured I'd keep pushing just for research purposes. So. Many. Battles. It's kind of lucky that people assume if I'm behind the counter tapping away at a pad I must be working. Anyway, good to know I can do that if I have to, but I think I'll stick to the basic threshold.
The cool thing about skirmishes is all the honor one can accrue. So it benefits people to keep playing even when they get to their desired rank. I was quite close to you in rank, 151. I commend you on how well you did. I was getting quite tired of all the tapping as well.
At least when you go overboard in a Skirmish, you end up with a pantsload of honor and chrons...
Not so much the chrons, I was dumping them right back into space battles for more intel just to see how far it would go. But I think I picked up about 25k-30k honour over the weekend, so that's not bad. Plus all the extra components from the space battles I blew the chrons into - I've got like 50 of a bunch of 4* components I'm normally out of every time I need them.

Yeah no chrons for me. I was only getting back 40% of the chrons I spent instead of my usual 90%. I ended up with no chrons left having used up about 10,000 of my own chrons plus the chrons I got in the skirmish. I did get about 22k in honor and Mulhall so I am overall happy.
Tapped out of chrons and intel. Final score of 1.8 mil. I kinda wanted to finish in the top 100 for the achievement despite the achievement being only 2000 merit, but I did get a lot of this event.

Every time I thought I'd finished enough battles to overtake you, I'd look and see you were active at the same time and staying just ahead of me! I may or may not have thought some unkind things that may or may not have been fair and I may or may not owe you an apology. O:)
I wasn't originally going to go for a top 100 finish, or even care about rank at all, until I realized that I'd gotten off to such a strong start that it was actually doable since I had nothing going on this weekend. (Derby parties next Saturday, though!) I just hit Captain Level 79 a week ago and ran so many Space Battle missions during this event that I hit Captain Level 80 yesterday. That got me 20k Honor, which I put with what I accrued during the event and added a second star to Armus.
I slogged through to a #81 finish, my new personal best. There is no chance of me making another run at a top 100 rank in any event any time soon. It is exhausting and I'm content to let those of you who want it that badly have it!
Congrats on the rank and the 2nd star. I was in the same boat; I just wanted to break 1500 to get the new character but I was doing well that I want to keep going (also helped that I kept getting chrons and honor to keep me going).
