    Loved Zork when I was a kid. Used to play on the Commodore 64. We even made maps.

    I think you can play some of the earlier Zork games for free online if you fancy some retro gaming.
    I especially liked the point-and-click "Zork: Grand Inquisitor"

    I’ve been trying to find some of the great Commodore 64 games in the App Store with little success. I did find the Bruce Lee game but don’t remember finding much else

    https://www.gog.com has most/all zork games, maybe they'll have PC versions of some C64 games?

    I'm 99% sure gog is legal because Time recomended it (5 Great No-Fuss Sites for Finding Classic Computer Games) as have other trusted sources in the past, eg PC Gamer IIRC.

    Or you could look into a C64 simulator and abandon ware games. However I am unsure about the safety (possibility of viruses, etc) and legality of that.

    I forgot to mention that GOG has lots and lots of classic games, and most/all games have no DRM.

    Gog is entirely legal. It is like Steam in a lot of ways. I have had it installed for years. The Witcher franchise for PC is ran through it, so I installed it for that.

    I should have said "emulate" not "simulate"
