Traits per battle, and VP per battle on Epic difficulty with bonus crew. (Need to fill in number 2). Gives 12750 VP per skirmish, if no VP is in the rewards.
Saboteur, Jury Rigger, 600
Survivalist, Cyberneticist, 750
Telepath,Maverick, 900
Terran Empire, Villain, 1050
Android, Scoundrel, 1200
Bajoran, Innovator, 1350
Explorer, inspiring. 1500
Musician, Desperate 1650
Tactician, Hologram 1800
Duelist, Gambler 1950
Now why isn't Torpedo McCoy a jury rigger?
Determined Janeway made a about four battles per skirmish for me as the bonus.
I see the value in the schems offer, but a 1:1 offer to convert dils to chrons is horrible! (understanding of course they are giving a "price break" from the regular price of 150 Dils for 50 chrons, which is far worse.)
The rewards table looks great, and obviously this is a variation on Skirmishes/Expedition or Episode – like a min-isode, just as I predicted earlier. All good so far... let the Cataclysm begin!
I use to do it quite regularly. I would buy extra cadet tickets on MWF and the return was at best 1 to 1.
Well ... the threshold rewards do allow players to purchase the 5x 500 chronitons from the rewards they get ...
What is the normal exchange rate? I've never purchased chronitons ... I can purchase 50 for 150 Dil from the main screen (if I tap my chronitons at the top of the screen), so 500 for 500 is a better deal than that.
Just cadet missions and using adwarp every hour on it.
So need to run a cadet mission every hour and adwarp it.
Also do not forget winning faction can supply some Chron.
It would be wise for every one to lower the difficulty on Federation shuttles. So that they return every half hour or lower still.
I have mine at half hour to return. So when a winning faction, they return instantly.
500 chronitons a go?? that sounds bad - but I guess like 12,000 to run the table. Not too bad. I might do eet.
Is that with the kit? So 25% more without.
without. it looks like 10 intel per chroni - so 500. So cheaper with kit. Honestly I'm more concerned with the time commitment - close to 4 hours.
Jean-Luc Picard: "We think we've come so far. Torture of heretics, burning of witches, is all ancient history. Then, before you can blink an eye, suddenly, it threatens to start all over again."
I like it so far! I'm not the biggest fan of skirmishes, but this is a nice addition for long time players (and a lot more dilithium than I would ever have expected to get so easily!). I don't mind the changing traits, but I'd also be happy with some bonus crew that applies for the entire event.
I won't spend any dilithium to get chrons because I already have about 70.000 that I don't really get to use (I hate galaxy events). But for those who don't have many chrons to waste, this probably doesn't make much sense. Spending 500 dilithium to get one more ticket, that would get them less dilithium than they already spent, doesn't seem like a good investment.
Personally, I'm happy with this though! There's nothing about it that bothers me and the rewards are very good
RE: the guy complaining about give us an event that uses chrons to level your crew. Here it is. Better than skirmishes, as they only get intel from space battles, AND crew require 2/3+ (i think 5/7 might be more accurate) from away missions.
It’s nice to have a skirmish type mini. I would guess that the “buy in” of 5000 intel is to keep it from getting out of control as far as points go. We’ll see if that works. I doubt I will go all in but I did spend 1000 chronos finishing off Talos IV Spock (somehow in the last 3+ years I had overlooked him and never ff/FE) and it was nice to get a “bonus” for that work.
Considering how "stingy" DB was with free Dilithium in the past the Dil rewards on offer are massive. Also that you can get Intel in away missions here is a nice detail. Makes it more flexible to get the items you want...
with skirmishes, I don't even look at the traits .. it's too "micro-managy" for me .. wasted time/effort for little reward ... add to the fact, that finding crew with the right trait + skill + ship ability is tedious .. just not worth it ..
I just do my usual skirmish setup:
I pick my standard ship:
Borg Cube.
I pick my standard crew complement:
Rura Penthe Reed (for the +attack boost)
Crell Moset (For the +accuracy boost and +15k crit bonus)
Scientist Degra (400% dmg)
Suus Mahna Sarek (400% dmg)
and pretty much 1 shot everything .. *shrug*
got just shy of 12k ..
I'm happy with that, for the return on investment.
Skirmish:
1200 intel to run after start. So, 120 Chron, without kit, or, 90 Chron. With kit.
So, 30 Chron. per reward box without kit, or, 22.5 Chron per reward box with kit.
Cataclysm:
5000 intel to run. So 500 Chron no kit, or 375 Chron. with kit.
So, 55.5 Chron. per reward box no kit, or 41.67 Chron. with kit.
Rewards max are 25% less for a reward box in Cataclysm.
So return on Chron. will be 60% less for Cataclysm, compared to skirmish.
But, we do get intel for away missions. For me I run away missions too when on kit, during skirmish. So the real difference for me is that we cannot achieve max reward a box. Going on with that, the cost should be 3750 intel to make up for the 25% reduction in reward box.
Great start making it rain Dilithiums. I in no way to expect this every week, but a good rotation of stuff could be cool for Thresholds:
Chronitons
Honour
Trainers for Brother Banjo
Maybe various Portal Pulls {Single and Times Ten}
The Intel Price should maybe be 2500 instead of 5000. 2500 is slightly more than the max Intel cost for the five Battle Skirmishes. So, 2500 as a set price for every Battle is better.
"The truth is like a lion; you don't have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself."
Please either remove intel from the rewards table or drastically increase the amount. During normal skirmishes the amount is paltry, this event it is a slap in the face. If you remove just dump the % into honor and chrons.
- Swapping crew with each battle is horrible. Your game is slow, laggy, the UI is bad and the less I have to deal with this, the better I feel about events. This is incredibly tedious and has to go. Keep it as one event crew and done please.
- I don't like the increased costs. The only good thing about skirmishes is the extra honour/chronitons. Once you remove that, they become incredibly boring and unrewarding just like faction events, and you know how unpopular they are. No thanks.
- The ability to run any mission feels entirely unnecessary but why not.
The fact that you're trying this shows how disconnected the devs are from the players. That's disheartening and does not make me want to play this game. You need to get out of the ivory tower ASAP.
I appreciate the dilithium but that's not going to make me enjoy this butchered version of skirmishes.
I have this strange bug on the Windows App.
I cannot pick any ships on any level. Haven't tried it on the other apps though, but maybe there is something wrong with the app.

OK, Steam works fine. So, yeah, I will try the Windows app later this evening to verify if it's still an issue.
the intel cost is just fine, considering the sheer amount of dil given for beta testing this for them. (7620 total for completing thresholds).
If you're going to do more of these crew selection things, given multiple traits, would probably like a more random selection of traits, given the sheer pool of traits that exists.
Its nice having something different but this isn't different, i dont want 1 and a half events a week please.
Im not going to say the dil is not very nice but after working very hard the past event to finish top 1500, i dont want to grind out another event straight after.
Furthermore its a spenders event you need more then 9k chronos saved up or you have to spend that's unfair.
I would like a mini event to be more mini and something brand new, i understand you would like to make money from it but make something quick and fun not a grind please.
another idea I just had ... with something like this, what if the threshold rewards were just buckets of basic items used in the subsequent galaxy event?
In other words, instead of having to farm them "manually", we could "farm" them via an event like this ... just have to setup the chron/intel cost vs the # of items at each threshold to an appropriate number

This is pretty cool if you ask me. Switching crew for bonus spices things up. The intel cost is high but if you clear thresholds you get very close to as much dilithium as they have for $100 in the dilithium store! People saying the chron cost is too high, the intel cost is too high but the rewards make it so worth it. Tough ranked rewards though. But threshold rewards? How could you complain about what is needed to reach them?

Thankyou @Joe Sage2 for the traits for 2

A 625 chron option for using up that last bit of intel could be nice too.
I see only 10000 at rank 7 and 7500 at rank 8. You must being seeing 750. Or are having a "Doh!" moment.
I just realized this is the same as skirmish. In skirmish, I warp 10 a 4 Chron mission, so 40 Chron cost, and I get 400 intel.

I wasn’t sure where to put this, Fleetmate is asking How Many schematics you get? Not just the %.
