And as was brought up to me earlier, if everyone was so concerned about it why didn’t Picard or anyone else stop by for a visit later and check things out? Picard was what? 300 years after Archer? Shame on Picard!
A great trek episode makes the viewers think so I guess that Enterprise episode Dear Doctor was very successful if we are still talking about it and debating the moral philosophies of it all these years later.

That we can agree on. Especially for a series that doesn’t appear to be popular

I think it will be more enjoyed in time. The Xindi and Shran episodes were great. The building of the Federation in the face of a threat was awesome to see. I think the slow start and abrupt ending hurt the show but if they could do an Enterprise documentary like the DS9 documentary it would fix the unresolved issues and really boost the show.

Towards the middle and end of season three I could literally feel the emotion and desperation of their situation. Add to it the heartache Trip was feeling over his sister. It was a very powerful stretch

Yep season 3 was their best and stacks up well against any Trek season. One ship alone going into the Delphic Expanse to save their planet and their species by any means necessary. Season 4 was great too if you ignore the rushed ending.
Not that it's as far off-topic as some of our threads get — I mean, at least the conversation is still about Trek, lol — but this is a lot of posts in a row that have nothing to do with the event. Maybe y'all can continue this discussion in the Strange New Worlds sub-forum?
Here is a screenshot of the aforementioned meatbags.

Well, I mean, sure — it started on-topic... as most threads that go off-topic do. But then things quickly got sidetracked.

Funny story: I read the thread, realized I had not yet gone through the starting dialogue screens, so I went through them SPECIFICALLY to do right by this thread and post that screenshot when I saw the Phlox genocide comments and got sidetracked; good intentions, bad results
Why the worry about this thread, @Data1001? What else is left to say about the event that a thoughtful ethical debate is intruding upon? We've covered the crew, we've covered the logistics of who is and is not worth thawing, we've covered who cares enough to compete, and we're a day in without any problems to report. All that's left are period check-ins about where someone is ranked or questions of where the VP range to break into the top 1500 is. It's too early to bother about that.
Though in case it matters, 200215 VP has me at #469 right now.
Also, a lesson learned from baseball: Play to win today. Helping people today to not die en masse is a win. Phlox's whole argument was that he projected "the Vakalians will be extinct in less than two centuries." Did he account for possible mutations in that time? Or interspecies breeding? He later says, "It may take millennia, but the Menk have the potential to become the dominant species on this planet." If the Vakalians were extinct in two centuries, why would it take the Menk a millennia to become the dominant species? Dominant how? Physiologically? Or did he mean they would subjugate the Vakalians? There is no telling at all what sociopolitical dynamics might become in two centuries. The Vakalians could have an uprising movement of egalitarianism and move past their superiority complex. His whole reasoning is predicated on ceteris paribus expectations and there are way too many variables involved to decide whether to sacrifice an entire people.
Anyway, you'll find me in the center of the Venn diagram of players competing for Executive Director Hugh and of viewers who hated Phlox.
The episode just felt very un-phlox cause every other episode he did everything he could to help people. It probably would have worked better in a later season after we had seen more of Phlox being a good person and helping others. Also it seemed like Archer was conflicted and wished he had guidance at the end of the episode, some sort of prime directive. But if that was the case, why not kick the problem upstairs to the Admiral?

Forest constantly said “im not out there. It’s your call”. He was useless and Archer and Trip constantly defied his orders anyway
Anyone else find it ironic Jurati is in the Do No Harm collection since she killed Maddox?
Since it was initiated several pages ago, and some late arrivals may have missed why the discussion of Physician characters being in the "Do No Harm" Collection can be a topic of discussion. The side discussion is related directly to a Crew who is Event Crew for this specific Event. Tangential discussion of other Physician Crew being in the Collection, even if they may have did some harm, is totally on topic. Since it relates to Event Featured Crew.......

Since you’ve opened the door here, I just want to quickly say that I think Allison Pill’s eyes are uncomfortably close together. The in-game art is frankly much nicer.

Ahem, lets see, lets try this...
Only one other faction and the federation is still ahead? What does the Federation offer worth farming? Don't we all need tonnes of 3* booze?

And the Federation offers a few other things. But I have stockpiles of all that from every other time the Federation wins. Let's give another faction the chance to win.

I'm doing my usual: going 100% in the best non-Federation faction (this case Terran) and then run Federation victory shuttles for 3 days. Dare I say this is The Best of Both Worlds?
