On the new ship trait = UGH! I've been chasing the unique traits for over a year and they just casually drop one into the game on a 4* ship that will never be used by an experienced player. So frustrating.
And why does the La Sirena even have four traits?! I know the Kumari has four, but that's pretty clearly a glitch no one has taken the time to fix.
Well I was very wrong about the $10 legendary offer... it's Mambo Picard!
Should I snag a 3rd star?
I'm not able to do the Offer. But the Picard Day Picard they sent me is still in my mailbox. So, probably would have passed anyway. Although, 1250 Chronitons for the regular price, plus a "free" Legendary. May have bit. Skirmish this week........

If I get my lumpsum deposit at midnight, might go for it. And the DYC. Give me three 🌟 s at sixty, or higher. Since people are saying he is a good Voyager. Look how long I left I Can't Believe it's not Gunpowder Kirk in my mailbox because I did not know he was a non-Conditional Sledgehammer........

Highlights: 300% damage at 8s and Position at 6s. I could be wrong, but I think La Sirena will be the new champ of Captain division.
Will it still be the champ if it only has 3 crew seats?
That might be how they balance it.
Maybe. But 300% in Captain is pretty big. And 8s is pretty early. It'll be interesting to see how it shakes out. If TP wants to sell schematics, it'll about have to have 4 seats.

I wonder if they'll have the arena ranked schematics be the La Sirena relatively soon... July will be "announced" in game in the next few days.

That would be kind of quick turnaround, but I don't believe it is totally unprecedented. Stuff has been added to Portal and other stuff kind of fast, before. IIRC
"The truth is like a lion; you don't have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself."
They can always work the new schematics into arena. The Artifact as the 5*, La Sirena as the 4*, and the new 3* Picard in the Daily rewards for July would be a nice way to mark Patrick Stewart's 80th birthday the 13th of July. It's a Monday, maybe we will get a Picard heavy Tuesday. Hint, hint, Powers That Be.

The hell with The Artifact; my Enterprise-E needs schematics!
Dammit, I wrote my post decrying this mega yesterday thinking that was it, things wouldn't get any better or worse.
Productive feedback is welcome, this was not it. Please be more mindful about what you post. Thanks. ~Shan
As for the 490 pack, well, who doesn't like Bashir? It depends, I suppose, on whether or not you're a fan of a low Voyage score and terrible bases based on a surprisingly common skill-set. I know, I know, I get a beloved crew and all I do is complain. Of course, if there had been two packs, it doubles the chance of an attractive member of crew in both character and gameplay terms - in theory. In practice, a second pack would probably also have been made unattractive, as it feels like this is deliberate to push us into their "Vulcan Collection"Unnecessary comment removed. ~Shan
To scrape a positive, Dress Uniform Bev is not in the portal yet - but she's only a super-rare, she's a two-skiller, and she's not a Gauntleteer. She might have been a good consolation prize in a pack with a great legendary, but who's going to spend thousands of dil and/or honor to immortalize her (and then instantly freeze her)? She'll be in the portal in 2-4 months anyway, and then we can all enjoy her unsettling passport-photo face in our crew.
Anyway, that was all vaguely expected (well, not another "Crappy Collection" pack, just another bad 490 week), but at least we can all now enjoy sending out voyages with 150 less antimatter every time the new Freighter trait comes up! Yay! Thanks for that, TP! You really listened to all of our complaints about having too much AM on voyages, and found a way to help out. Again, scraping a positive, the unfixed kjunk mechanic should relieve this annoyance most of the time. But... why did they even bother?
Well, perhaps I've underestimated them, and we'll get an influx of traits this weekend so that every 5* ship has four traits, so many of us will then have a freighter or two. And we'll finally get that ship-sorting function for voyages! Hey, I can dream.
Dress Uniform Dr Crusher was in the 490 packs. I didn't have her, so I took the opportunity to grab 4 copies. Sadly, I only got one 00-Bashir in the process. He would have been a boon to my MED/SEC voyages if I could have snagged another copy or three. Having all three voyage scores over 1,000 is pretty impressive in my book. But sure... Let's call it a downer, I guess? 🤷♂️
Sorry Travis, taking this quote out as I moderated it. ~Shan
I was one of the more vocal critics of the Diplomatic Deluge debacle. I was encouraged when they ran Resilient Romulans that they'd made the adjustments to the text that'd highlighted were the problems ("at least one" and "in addition"), but even more frustrated that there was no acknowledgment that the first run was misleading because of their clumsy writing. But even as critical as I am of this entire pack format, I don't think it's fair or constructive (or especially mature) to characterize an omission of a request for feedback as protecting a dev with a fragile ego.
Besides, it's a foregone conclusion we'll give feedback even if it isn't requested. Or invited. Or wanted.

Purpose of a forum:
75% game feedback
10% dev announcements
10% community socializing
5% other
And let me tell you about that "5% other". You have to include that. Otherwise, it details the game feedback and makes it other feedback. Then there's feedback to that feedback and you get a feedback loop that sounds like audio feedback. Does that sound like too much feedback? It isn't. Because this is a game forum and that's what it's for.

Apparently, that 5% doesn't include warning players of this game about the probability that their shared online resources to help one another play this game may be hit with DMCA complaints just for including names from Star Trek, unless you make a habit of checking the Holodeck for "off-topic" threads.
Anyway, I guess y'all won't have to worry about competing with me this week. I don't see much point in participating. 24 hours ago, I was excited about getting a fourth star for Soji. That was before I tried to warn players of this game about the probability that their shared online resources to help one another play this game may be hit with DMCA complaints just for including names from Star Trek was banished to the Holodeck for "off-topic" threads.

Wait a second... You're telling me there's actually a "Pack-master"? I thought I had invented this mythical creature and their childish overreactions to our negativity!
I did think my over-the-top caricature of a floundering employee demanding that Shan stop requesting feedback was easily identifiable as humor, but hey, I do apologize if it went over your head. After all, Shan started the thread - obviously it was for feedback purposes. And I imagine there's a team rather than an individual working on these new packs. Or do you know something we don't?
Although I think the coincidence about the poor 490 packs is a bit too strong - surely they were pushing us to their Collection Packs this month.
Edit: actually, looking back, it does look like I implied Shan deliberately tried not to engender feedback. In case it's not obvious from the fact that she started the thread: I'm sorry, Shan, of course you wanted feedback!

You are going to have to change your bottom tag, Disruptor Beam sold the game to Tilting Point.
People do that division?
i know! i actually forgot about the bottom tag for a little while there 😝

It actually only falls about 8k players (11%) short of admiral division. Commander division blows them both out of the water.
