I have a lot of citations. When I get a card I know I will not be searching for again (going back to the faction store repeatedly), I tend to cite right away and then level whenever I get around to it. 😊
Seems like it would consume a lot more resources with that route.

I'm certainly not the first, but I finally completed my Bynar 5* with no citations, just lots of time and crew slots. True, this is the most useless 5* in the game and the most annoying since it requires so much time and crew slots. Yet that is what makes it an accomplishment.
At the same time, I finally got some Artifact schematics. Now I am 5 short from level 10. 5 measly schematics. At this rate, I'll get it in about 6 months. But it is still something, so I am pleased.
Now I just need 7 more Binar 4* to complete the set.
A fleetmate and I both started new VIP0 alts, just for fun and to experience new things and new challenges. Our rules were to remain VIP0s, but we could otherwise use whatever crew we happened to get (i.e. NOT nightmare mode). We started about one week after the Mirror Boimler OE started. We asked ourselves, would it be possible for brand new VIP0s who started at this point to actually complete the OE? The answer is yes. It was achievable with activity, some planning, and game know-how (like keeping the shuttle missions tanked, using arena battles to count towards the ship battle objective once the schematics dropped, and levelling each new Boimler drop a little before fusing to help get levels towards the level 90 times objective etc.). We both finished the OE 15/15 as pre-level 30 VIP0s with two shuttle bays, with days to spare.
Since our objective with the alts was just to have fun, and since having a 4/5 Mirror Boimler was already a definite Nightmare mode violation, I whimsically decided to use my carefully saved-up honor on this well-timed honor sale to flamboyantly and egregiously "complete" this violation. Just for the heck of it. My alt's very first immortalised card is a gold.

After months of permanent crew slot crisis on my Nightmare Mode account*, I finally got a bit of flexibility thanks to this month's existing mega crew being ones I already had and so could freeze by placing high enough.
With the spare capacity to thaw out crew who might be helpful for particular nodes, I decided to go back to clearing main map away missions. And I discovered that in one or other of the recent updates, they've made them so much more informative! I can't remember seeing anyone mention this, presumably because most accounts have long since got to the stage of warping them all.
But look, you get exact numbers on trait bonuses and crit thresholds before you go in, and once you're there playing through, probabilities for succeeding and critting.
It's a nice little QoL improvement (and catnip to those of us who like our spreadsheets), well done WRG.
*I have been allowing myself to spend Dil on them, which the strictest versions of NM don't allow, but balanced this out by banning myself from airlocking anyone who isn't a dupe. (The one time someone fell off the end of their week, I made them my next retrieval.)
Finally finished EV Reed, meaning I have at least one gold immortal for each member of the Enterprise cast- 5 Archers, 4 each T'Pol and Phlox, 3 of Trip, and one each of Hoshi, Mayweather, and Reed. My first series to get there.
