I think basic pulls give beholds now for single pulls and the x10. I too had a behold but superrare.
In the past they usually were not beholds, just dropped one.
Claimed a single premium pull from the regular campaign track today that turned out to be a legendary behold. One of the choices was Seven in Silver which I chose to bring it to 3/5. Not one of the top cards but I’ve had it at 2/5 for a while and it’s nice to add to it.
I did one pull of the event pack, fearing that I might get Mintakan Troi (immortal), but hoping with some luck for 1 copy of Chakotay (to FF with the treshold), or maybe with a lot of luck...

I won a second event on my SSR account last week. Wasn’t easy as I only caught up with @Navarch in the last five hours. Luckily, I was sick all weekend (ok not so luckily), so I had nothing else to do, and I also took a sick day on Monday from work which made the difference. Had some communication with the guys around me in the ranks throughout the event, and like last time when I won, everyone was really supportive. Just a reminder that the players from rival fleets aren’t the enemy lol. The community around the game is really positive/ encouraging.

I cleared the threshold rewards a short time ago today, the earliest I’ve ever been able to do for a faction event. With the way the shuttles are going for me I’ll probably get my highest VP score as well. I claimed my premium 10 pull and got 2 super rare beholds, for the first time in a while each had a card I don’t have, one (Vice Admiral Dougherty) is for a collection that I’m working on.
Tomorrow I’ll have enough quantum to do a crew retrieval. I was planning to pull Warship EMA to make him 2/5 but this morning I got a Trill polestar that will enable me to pull Niners Ezri to make her 5/5 and add to the costumed collection.

As you can see by my screenshot, I went for Riker. Part of my rational for doing so was, as you eluded to, his events potential, but I almost went with Po. Ultimately, it was because Po had already been featured as an obtainable premium character in a previous campaign that led to my finger selecting the Riker option. I figured Riker may show up in a future campaign whereas Po probably wouldn't on account Po was featured in the December 2019 - January 2020 Bubbles and Sparkles campaign. As one might surmise by the fact that I don't have Po, I don't always purchase the premium campaign tier, but if I already have a featured premium tier character in my inventory, I'm much more apt to do so (assuming that character isn't already fully fused).

I started today with umpire odo at three stars. Got him on the first pull. Then i was offered the fifth for cash. So tempting. Took another pull of the miners pack and got him again. 5 stars immortal. That gave me the 7 of 7 rewards in the play ball collection. Yes!! One of the rewards was a 10 pack pull and I got another behold, took Picard Enterprise E. That added a star. Pretty good day i think.
