I regularly get 10-13 4* crew I airlock them. I spend dil for chrons I suppose I can adjust to going to 8hrs for free till AM is nerfed to get me to spend on refreshes at the 8hr mark in that case I'll send a voyage for 4-6hrs

For me I seldom get that many 4* crew even on long voyages. However when voyages first started I thought that was about the norm maybe a little high.
I will agree with your airlock comment. I seldom seem to get crew I need even when a lot of them drop.
I feel like I am the only one who is ok with the chrono/trainer drop in favor of more credits. Currently I have 31 characters who each can use 2 items built for them, but don't have the credits for it.
If you're to the point that you need voyage credits to level, the small amount of voyage credits isnt gonna help.
In my day we didn't have fancy, shmancy Voyages to give us chrons. To get to the Chronfountain we had to trudge 10 miles uphill in the snow and wind. Both ways!
I'll settle for more credits. I need them to pay for 90K pulls that don't ever seem to give me beholds.
At least Galaxies will be a little less bananas. DB should still fix Galaxy threshold rewards.
Shuttles are still the primary source of trainers. If you are short on trainers it means you are not running your shuttles enough. Your shuttles should never be at rest. One week of around the clock shuttles (use overnight boost) and you will have thousands of gold and purple trainers.
One should not forget that Chronitons are a source of credits as well...so the increased credit drops probably only compensate for the missed out missons you can get credits for...if at all...
I average about 250 chronitons in the first 6:00:00 - I was already at 4 hours when things turned over so it'll be later tonight for me before I see what the effects are on lower hours.
Why would they nerf all the good stuff and leave the basic components that are easy to get? Why wouldn't you reduce those items drop rates to make room for more credits?
Honour for trainers is one of the worst things that you could possibly do in this game. I'm disappointed that it's even an option because it screws over naive newer players.
Before we talk numbers (like total chrons at 4 hours, etc.), we should probably wait for some more data. Everyone is either in the middle of their previous voyage or their 1st post-patch voyage. People are saying that they average X chrons by Y hour and that their new voyage is not equaling that. How many times has one of your voyages given you more or less chrons than you expect?
I recommend patience. Someone will come along in a week with a bunch of voyage results from dozens of people, and we'll have a better idea of how much "slightly decreased chances" are.
Increase amount x3, and decrease frequency x0.1, net result is fewer chrons.
Speculation regarding the decreased frequency doesn't help much.
The announcement says that the chance of getting chrons is decreased after 4 hours. We already know that the chron drop amount increases to 15 by at least hour 8. Prior to hour 2, the drop amount has increased to 3. I'll come back in 15 minutes to say what it is between hours 2 and 4.
The actual result of these changes will take some time to determine.
2 refills at 88 and 100 something dilithium. If you look at it like the cadet challenges its still around 200 dilithium for 576 chronitons, if buying tickets on M/W/F it would cost you 3 refills (150, 150, 200) to get 450 extra + the 150 you get for your starting 6 tickets.

You’re right. I didn’t mean my post to be a statement of actual frequency. I was just pointing out that an increase in dropped amount does not equate to more chrons. As you said, we’ll have to wait and see just how much they decreased the rate.
Shuttles are still the primary source of trainers. If you are short on trainers it means you are not running your shuttles enough. Your shuttles should never be at rest. One week of around the clock shuttles (use overnight boost) and you will have thousands of gold and purple trainers.
That might be true for you and me and many more, but for someone that has just started, still is leveling 1* crew, that might not be investing anything, might be just having 2 shuttles only and little crew to put on the, more trainers sounds good for him!
For me, the first 2 hours provided the expected (slightly over average, but we'll within what I expect) amount of choronitons. They dropped less, but more. The second two hours are progressing. It took over 15 minutes for the first chroniton dump. It gave 8. At this rate, I suspect the final number after 4 hours (if I make it) will be slightly lower than average. If that is true, than "slightly" might really mean slightly. I was wrong to panic. Also the credits seem slightly higher, but I never paid much attention to the useless things. The trainers seem to have doubled.
So I've been running a voyage for about 3 hours or so. Got the usual amount of Chronitons so far but noticeably more trainers (more purples in particular).
The main thing I have noticed is a complete lack of replicator rations. Like, not a single replicator rations drop in 3 hours. Am I the only one? Do they just not drop from voyages now?

earlier in the week i went 3 voyages with not rations of any rarity, last voyage over 100 3* (all about 6.5 hours) likely just RNG on your part

But that does not really matter, the point is that the trainer shortage sorts itself out sooner or later, if you know what you are doing. If you have the crew to run 6h+ shuttles it makes no sense whatsoever to bombard us with trainers. The point is that the MAJORITY of players will just get junk for their inventory and a small base of players might find them useful. But those can only be knife-edge situations.
Got a 6:45h voyage back and it has 72 super rare trainers...this is almost hurtful to watch. This is not a slight increase, but 50-100% more of an already useless item. I do not see any significant increase in credits, seems to be what it always was. If anything because of the decreased chronitons it's probably less credits overall than before.
Altogether there is not a single positive aspect in the changes. It was announced that the changes will be minor, instead this is a massive nerf without any benefits whatsoever. The voyages-only crew is only for those who spend massive amounts of chronitons on voyages. Others will never see a part 3 dilemma in their lifetime.
What **tsk tsk** most of all is that DB just changed the rewards in exactly the opposite way it announces: more trainers instead of less, less crew instead of more. Less credits because of chroniton decrease. Massive chroniton decrease instead of slight. It would be really nice just to say a few words why the changes are so different from what was announced. It's like always with them. Make promises, creating smoke screens everywhere and then all of a sudden the big **tsk tsk** comes out to screw us all over.
I hoped they'd actually increase the amount of credits per drop, not the drop rate of the same low credit amounts from before ... that's maybe a slight increase of credits overall, but not that much. However, it looks like it's about triple the trainers now (especially purrple and gold).
We were supposed to get more crew, right? But why are there less 1* crew drops now (less honor then)? I guess the "more crew" is only the four new voyage-only crew members who will only drop with much luck.

It's called lying! There is no increase in crew drops. It was simply an untruthful statement from the beginning.
New 4* voyage-only crew will only drop if you put in massive amounts of dilithium. No chance of getting anywhere near the dilemmas that drop them without prolonging your voyage significantly.

I completely agree with all the nerf criticism, but these new crew are dropping from part 2 of dilemmas not part 3. I've seen some of them in 7 hour voyages, and getting the right 2 in 3 dilemmas is much more likely than getting the right 3 in 3.

Just stop with all the hyperbole. We have 3 screenshots of people getting the new voyage only crew - 2 from 6 hour dilemma, and the other from 4 hour.

I think it is even more important for new players to keep their shuttles running constantly. Especially since you get trainers even for failed shuttles. Running shuttles cost nothing. If 1* crew is all you have then run them with 1* crew. The shuttles scale to your crew level so having low level crew does not matter.
Comments
That seems to be correct. When the double reward happens. The amount was not increased as I am seeing with Chron.
