Once again DB missed the mark, in my opinion.
Instead of giving us Picard, they should have given us a choice of one of 3 Mirror crew, similar to what was done back when I was offered a chance at a free Arachnia, or Dr. Chaotica.

Giving away nearly any other legendary could have been well received, but this is about the absolute worse choice they could have made.

After the way they messed people up by ending an Event early, they do this?

No. It's an ingame mail going en masse. Sometimes they take time to get to everyone.
No, give it time. The in game mails are staggered...
I had to restart the game to get the e-mail.
I'm going to do the same. If they had not had issues loading the other Saturday, then ended that Event EARLY I would have finished him without buying a DYC......

The wallet just slammed shut for good. I am 100% F2P from now on. This was the first (and last) event I ever pushed hard on to rank. Never again.
I spent 50,000 honor on Picard just a week ago, knowing we'd get him 4/5 and wanting to immortalize him. I know I wasn't alone; a lot of other paying players made the same decision. Now every other player in the game gets an immortal Picard for free?
Unbelievable.
Even if they do it still requires opening a ticket and waiting, when they could have avoided this blunder by just sending the citation in the first place.
It'll take 4-40 days to get an answer on that : /
And then it depends on the CS rep you get. How hardline DB has told them to be. And what kind of mood they're in when they read your ticket.
I sent a Support Ticket. Even made a few suggestions of what could have been done instead.

Exactly...
As a rule, I hold off on submitting tickets for widespread issues until I see response on the forums. Rather than having everyone send in a ticket, a lot of times they address this in bulk form, and I'd rather not clog up the system if I can avoid it.

For a game built upon Star Trek, a little Vulcan logic now and then isn't too much to ask... Offer a 5 citation to all players and be done with it. That way the players who might've been super-close to a 2nd Dirty Deanna could use it there, F2P players could FF Mirror JL-Pipes, and others could use it on one of their other legendaries... Everyone wins, including DB, who earns some goodwill from the player base.
I sit in an office five days a week just like a lot of the folks up at DB HQ... Frankly, they should be able to come up with these compensation solutions just as easily as I do.

For those people who were affected in other ways the same process needs to be followed but filing tickets.
This latest misstep by DB has me seriously considering if I even want to continue spending any money.
And unwittingly by claiming Picard, just set off the timer on the 25 dollar offer I planned to use tomorrow on the next event.
Priceless.
That's gonna cause a flood backing tickets up for weeks again.
That hurts everyone when you've gotta resort to tickets for something this widespread.
I'll let you know what they say to my request.
