Well, if the characters that popped up in the cryo vault and were later removed are any indication, seems like we'll also be getting a new Spock and Amanda during the event.
Amanda Grayson would be great. The question is, which one? Obviously, since they don't have the rights to it, the Kelvin timeline version is out (even if it'd be cool to have Winona in the game). And although I have nothing against the actress who plays her on DSC, my vote would be for "original flavor" Amanda. She was definitely the most "motherly" of all the versions.

Who I want to see for this Mega-Event since it is Vulcan x Romulan. I do want more Romulans than Vulcans though, we have so few Romulans as is.
NEW VULCANS
Kir'shara Archer
Syrannite T'Pau or her TOS version that we see in Amok Time
Ambassador V'Lar
Tallera/T'Paal
NEW ROMULANS
Admiral Valdore
Commander Donatra
Subcommander Selok or her Vulcan identity Ambassador T'Pel
Romulan Picard
Commander Toreth
Praetor Neral
Ba'el
Admiral of the Haus of GaghGagh, Starbase level 94, we are not accepting members at this time.
Captain of the voyage vessels: Queen of Bashir, Landsknecht, and Sunspear, the first luxury starship cruiseliners.
Amenities include wifi, fully-functioning holodecks, a full-service bar, 3 party decks, a Trill spa, and a business centre.
Fun fact: The ships are propelled by bouncy castle technology.
Keep in mind this is not Surak but a image that Archer saw in his mind.
So this Surak should be some sort image too. Not sure what trait that leads to.

An image in Archer’s mind while he was carrying Surak’s katra, though. That has a much better potential to be accurate than the joint fantasies of Kirk and Spock.
For one, Archer actually had Surak’s memories, so unless Surak can’t remember what he looks like, I think it’s accurate.

I will admit (although it is not logical) that I am super-excited for this event! Just wish we were getting the original Surak -but is there an issue obtaining the rights to Barry Atwater's image?
Technically he's not Surak, just an illusion of Surak, like Abraham Lincoln
I don't want to have a tantrum, but I'm really, really disappointed in DB going with the lame Enterprise Surak vs. the TOS savage curtain Surak. Just IMO - but personally disappointed in a major way

To me, the best way to illustrate this is actually to compare two of the Yartworks.

I have a bad eye for artwork but now that it’s been so clearly pointed out its obvious.
It’s seems like they had a lot of passion and put significant time into the release. Now it’s all about cranking out cards to make more money. Not only do they put so many cards out but they can pay less expensive artists to increase profits.

Sure, but the illusion of Abraham Lincoln from the same episode, which we can assume was drawn from Kirk's mind, was pretty accurate. I would expect Spock's mental image of the most renowned Vulcan to be no less accurate.
Spock once called him "the greatest of all who ever lived on our planet."
On April 5th, the Legendary Surak will arrive in STAR TREK TIMELINES! He will be the recurring crew in our Vulcan and Romulan-themed Mega-Event, "All We Become."
More details about the April Mega-Event will be revealed next week.
Nice artwork, glad we're getting Surak!
On another note, he looks more like Peter Graves from Mission Impossible than Surak:
In the immortal words of Spock: "Live long and prosper"
Re: Surak source - I think there's more character substance to Surak in ENT, and that's as good a reason as any to go with that incarnation. It makes sense to me.
Re: Artwork - Surak first showed up in the vault awhile back, during that stretch of dubious artwork, so it's not much of a surprise that his aesthetics reflect that period. It is disappointing just the same, however. I don't hate it as some of y'all do, but I do feel he's the weakest of the mega-event 5*'s.
Re: Skills - I just hope someone at DB remembers that David Marcus cited Surak along with Einstein and Newton as scientific legends. Dude needs some strong SCI.
Re: Kolinahr Spock and Amanda Grayson - Also both from that wonky art phase, so that's a bit of a concern. Still, I'm kinda looking forward to Shaggy Spock. As for Amanda, I don't really have a preference. I suppose I tend to think reflexively of Jane Wyatt from The Voyage Home more than "Journey to Babel", just from having re-watched the movie (a lot) more than the TOS episode.
I expect it'll be the Disco version played by Mia Kirshner, though, for two obvious reasons: she's more visible today as an active character, and unlike Jane Wyatt, she's alive to work with on likeness rights.
Re: Potential Romulans - If there's no Senator Vrenak, holding up the isolinear rod with the "It's a fake!" sound clip, then I don't know how this mega-event could possibly redeem itself.
And I want to reiterate my request for a TOS Romulan Bird-of-Prey. That ship is dope.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder I guess.
- Both Spocks look fine, I'm not against the same crew having different styles ... the second has a nice muted colour tone and a more stylistic/graphical look to it and I actually really like that artwork (there are minor anatomical mistakes, but I can overlook that due to the style used ... legs are a touch off, shoulder ... hands are okay though, have a nice nonchalant look to them
- The Beverly's are both horrid, no matter which way you look at them ... the top pic has the shading all wrong, the eyes are incorrect, her left leg looks like it has gone through a mangler (not shown above) ... and the bottom pic looks like someone who has gone through 10 too many facial reconstruction surgeries ... on top of that the colour of her skin makes her look dead and it seems like they copied Mutant Paris' hands from this version of Crusher.
as for the new Surak ... meh, couldn't care either way ... if you look at Sarek I think it look like he has a helmet on in each of his three versions ... I always assume it is a Vulcan thing (the T'Pols and Valeris come to mind too, so it ain't only a "guy" thing).
His robes have a nice texture, but the "belt" is just plain crap.
I will admit (although it is not logical) that I am super-excited for this event! Just wish we were getting the original Surak -but is there an issue obtaining the rights to Barry Atwater's image?
I have to say, this is who I was expecting for Surak. I don’t even recognize this other guy. I remember the Enterprise episodes with Archer and the guy carrying Surak’s Katra but I’m still drawing a total blank on this dude. Whatever the case, I was looking forward to TOS Surak but this is fine I suppose. Also, I have no problem with the art. It’s not as good as early stuff but it’s still good.
Weirdly enough, I’m also Vulcan Housewife. Also, RNGesus hates me, like really, REALLY hates me.
So... what happened to Augments and DS9 poll results? Just ignored? Was that not for the April mega event?

Wow, Rara — I like you, and quite enjoy your posts, but I have to say I couldn't disagree with you more.
I agree the newer Bev isn't great — I think it's decent, but not great — it was a lot better than Mirror Data and other awful artwork that preceded it, so I think that's partly why it was met with a generally positive reaction. But I believe it is, as you say, a little dead-looking, compared to how it could be. I think that facially, the Dr Crusher above is leagues better — realistic-looking, fairly detailed, and looks like Ms. McFadden. (The awkward poses and bad drawings of hands that so many crew seem to have is another discussion entirely, I think, lol.)
But really, you are okay with the artwork on Laborer Spock? It looks completely lifeless to me. In fact, I think it more closely resembles a mannikin in a department store than a living person. In my opinion, it's extremely hurried work — something that looks like it was whipped out by some artist in an afternoon, whereas Commander Spock looks like it was created with astute attention to detail, with probably a fair amount of man-hours spent crafting it. One is akin to the 5-minute paintings of landscapes that the artists at county fairs will do while everyone gawks and applauds his speed... the other is more comparable to the work of a talented portrait artist.
(And let me state again for the record that I don't blame the artists here. I like to think that for the most part, they are being instructed not to spend inordinate amounts of time creating the art, and so of course the quality is going to suffer. I think most of them could probably do a lot better work if they were allowed a more reasonable time frame in which to work.)
Surak — I don't really have a huge problem with him, other than it's more of the low-detail stuff we've been getting for awhile, and I feel the shading is weird. But I don't find him "cartoony", as someone else said, nor particularly heinous. I merely ran with the "helmet hair" idea above, and had some fun with it.
But, regarding the rest...

You can kinda tell who the character is so not as bad as Klingon O'Brien.
When you gotta say "well at least not as bad as" you've achieved a new low at least when it comes to mega recurring characters.
