I am happy to see Rogue Harry as the ranked reward, having him already immortalized. This is the third straight galaxy I've been able to go threshold-and-out, walking away with the new 4* crew fully equipped, without spending a single chroniton!
Why doesn't Xindi Prisoner Archer have the Prisoner trait? Is there something from the episode I'm not remembering?
He wasn't actually a prisoner at this point. It's from when they were tricking Degra, not when he was actually captured.
True, but there's a case to be made that this is ultimately the same as any other instance of a crew member passing themselves off as something they aren't (Klingon O'Brien, Mintakan Troi, Romulan Kirk). My personal nitpick here is the use of Costumed rather than Undercover Operative. They've been woefully inconsistent with those two traits, but my perception is that Costumed is more for when they're playing dress-up (whether voluntarily, as on the holodeck, or involuntarily, as in the TNG crew being forced to reenact Robin Hood's rescue of Maid Marian) and Undercover Operative is when they're disguised for the purpose of some kind of infiltration.
These are things for the audit thread, of course.
Anyway, I'm also glad that Archer is the threshold crew, particularly as my Rogue Harry Kim is already immortalized. Also, I'm only five more immortals away from another 750 dilithium!
Incidentally, for anyone looking ahead to the first event after the mega, the following two would be in line:
"Endgame" (Galaxy)
5* The Traveler
5* Lieutenant Wesley Crusher
4* Captain Q
4* Human Q
"The Isthmian Games" (Faction)
5* Dancing Uhura
4* Prospero Data
4* Bestselling Author Jake Sisko
It'd be dope if they go with "Isthmian", which would bookend this DS9 mega with events featuring Jake!
I just hope AND missions are gone and or fixed. If not, the first skill needs to be diplomacy first to fit Archer and Jake. If more missions have it as a second skill, it will not be a fun experience with the lack of bonus crew and a shuttle bug.
This may be my first zero bonus crew event in a year. Should be an interesting control group event for comparison.
Not so interesting for a 2-month player. Events have been my chance to immortalize rare crew and kind of play catch-up. My 4-5 small bonus crew are just not going to get the job done. I'm bummed about falling even further behind this week.
No worries, just do what you can. You'll have Archer from the thresholds and a copy of Kim from the community rewards in the galaxy phase. Do your best with the shuttles, at least one will be decent with the shared crew. Then for the galaxy half you only really need a few bonus crew. Level Archer in the faction phase, then Kim at the beginning of the galaxy phase to whatever level is easy. Even half levelled he'll give you a boost for crafting.
Just thought I’d put this on this thread as well, but Archer really should have Undercover Operative. I could care less about the Costumed trait, though that doesn’t fit entirely, but he definitely needs Undercover Operative added. That was the whole point of that entire episode. He went undercover as a escaped prisoner to try and fool Degra into giving them more info about the weapon.
Btw, since we now have Archer from this episode, I really want a Prisoner Degra. Super rare would be fine but legendary would be better.
Weirdly enough, I’m also Vulcan Housewife. Also, RNGesus hates me, like really, REALLY hates me.
I must admit, I'm a little confused why Jake has MED as his tertiary skill and not his secondary. He did more as a medic in that episode than he did as any sort of fighter.
Admiral of the Haus of GaghGagh, Starbase level 94, we are not accepting members at this time.
Captain of the voyage vessels: Queen of Bashir, Landsknecht, and Sunspear, the first luxury starship cruiseliners.
Amenities include wifi, fully-functioning holodecks, a full-service bar, 3 party decks, a Trill spa, and a business centre.
Fun fact: The ships are propelled by bouncy castle technology.

I can think of one possible reason. Though he wasn't necessarily a combatant, his reporting was about the war from the front line. It's outside the box, but it makes sense to me. SEC, like so many other things in this game, can be a bit nebulous. Jake providing such apparently poignant firsthand coverage of the war seems at least SEC-y to me as, say, Waitress Ezri having it for spiking a holodeck dude's drink during a heist.
So many dip/sec/cmd combos in this game. Sigh. Poor old Archer is outshone by quite a few other crew, even if his stats are quite solid.
Rogue Harry is a real doo-dah to level. It's been a long time since I've given up on am event crew like this. Really, he's up there with Proton Paris imo.
Oh yeah, definitely Archer needs Undercover Operative. That's a no-brainer for sure!
I disagree. I think if you're a legit SPY like Section 31 or you're on an extended mission of surveillance/espionage like Crusher and Picard in that TNG episode with Gul Madred, then you get the Undercover Operative trait.
If you're just trying to dress up and trick someone, you're in a costume. He was putting on a show for Degra.

I disagree. An Undercover Operative is someone who infiltrates the enemy to gain information or impede their operations. That's not what Archer did. He tricked a captive into giving up information by creating a fake scenario. That's why he has Costumed and Crafty, but not UO.
The Wiki is down right now, but looking at the Vault, everyone there went "behind enemy lines," with the possible exception of Cardassian Kira (which was involuntary) and Pel (where she was doing something illegal among her own people)
The only person with the trait that doesn't really follow this line is Detective Dixon Hill, who I think should not have the trait.

You were mailed an EV Suit Archer. Boom! Event crew.
While he's appreciated, he's third back in my mailbox queue behind Suus Menha Sarek and Will Scarlett, due to lack of open crew slots. He's not likely to see active duty until the next crew slot sale/giveaway, if even then.

You know, the Archer is worth having, and SOMETIMES Sarek makes it onto my Voyages. But I don't think I've ever used Will Scarlett Worf. Guess it depends on who else you have. But I'd say take Archer out of the retail box packaging first.
OK, after reading mission descriptions I'm sitting this event out. Or at least first phase. There is ambiguous **tsk tsk** and there is this. NOPE. It's not fun doing missions like that.
"Not Trek" this, "Not Trek" that... now THIS is NOT Trek, at least as far as Starfleet is concerned.
"Reptilian"
Even a preliminary pass through a generations-old spelling checker would have flagged the errors in the text as "Enterprise" and the franchise-at-large didn't deviate from the standard spelling.

Did you restart?
Edit: Nevermind I see from the engineering room thread it’s still an issue after restart
I've also been getting "bad recipe" messages all morning since the update. It's been a very "buggy" day for the app.
Probably the app is rejecting the Archer event, recognizing it as something foreign.
JUST.PLAIN.BORING
It is showing correctly in the Time Portal.
...but I got a Killy, so

You are really an optimistic person my friend.
Edit: sure a lot of engineering first missions..... Shocked I say, shocked

Non Sequitur. Investigations is where Paris seemingly defects to the Kazon, but is playing double-agent to fish out the real traitor.
