Since the first time I discovered the forums, I have enjoyed reading the complaints of my fellow players. Is it just me, or does anyone else find this funny?
Anyhow, thanks for the apology packs- however many you give me. Keep working on your debugging, that work would be appreciated. Thanks for the update on the ghost pips, that’s actually why I was reading the thread at this moment.

You should be seeing the 4 Star Apology pack. And if you made pulls while it was broken you should have your free pulls. You should also be getting an In Game Mail soon which reiterates what we have posted here already.
Remember this pack will only be up for a week so make your pulls.
Is it intentional that they cost 17010 honor each after the free ones? That's more than a purple Behold! And at least with the Behold! you get your choice of three.
I think our first concern is whether this same testing process may lead to the same issue with faction shuttle missions that people have been complaining about for the better part of a year. Every faction week we send out 4 shuttles with 91%+ theoretical success rate and almost every week two or more fail. Over and over.
Reiterating that the pack itself is not the apology, the free pulls you get for that pack are. The intent was to give you free pulls, not a pack to buy. Though that option is available should you choose to.
To be clear there were Super Rare crew we had previously said would be available in the Premium Time Portal. For awhile they were not. These crew are not new to the game, they are new to the Premium Time Portal.
The 4 Star Apology Pack guarantees one of those Super Rare crew.
We are sorry you could not access these specific crew. If you would have possibly been able to get one of these crew by making a Premium Time Portal pull, here, have one for free.

I got two pulls. I won't be buying additional packs because I already have most of the characters in there immortalized. 17K is a little steep for a small chance at getting 1* for Doc Crusher, Archer, Duchamps or Sheriff Worf. Its also not a useful way at getting aditional fuses since it costs almost as much as a citation.

First, I want to thank you for this seeming new day of taking ownership of some of these issues. I have played The game for sometime, since before events even existed, Which was very close to the beginning. Seeing this new development is very encouraging.
I do hope that you are also working on response times two issues as well as the issues themselves. At times, the timeliness of these issues being resolved is critical to gameplay.
First, let me say that I was a bit offended by the cost of the “apology packs“. While I appreciate the free ones (thank you!), Cost of 17,010 honor points for one random character which I may or may not need is rather steep. This is especially true when you consider the fact that a citation that will add a star to any crewmember I want only cost 20,000 on your points. This hardly seems like an apology charge by comparison.
Secondly, There are many fleets awaiting a issue that is affecting us during this event. Mine is one of them. Fleets who have Complete or close to complete Starbase is our receiving 20,000 chronitons as Fleet to spend on the event (100 chronitons per day, 4 day event, 50 players per fleet). What is being to do actively resolve this discrepancy.
Finally, I would gladly offer my services as a beta tester to any of these new features. I want to see the game improve and help where I can too. This is why I (and many others) reports these bugs. Our frustrations are that they seem to be constant. So, instead of just reporting, let me know if I can help in anyway.
Since the # of apology packs i got for the # of premium pulls I did does not mesh, now i can have the joy sending a ticket brings, going back & forth with cs. Will the apology packs be gone by time i jump the hoops?
i pulled specifically after i received in game message that listed new crew added to portal. They were listed at the bottom of event info messsge.
I pulled all i had saved. I had at least seven 10x alone (i say closer to 10). Plus another 16 or so singles. They gave me 6 free.
Wow, 17010! This just turned an apology into a spit in the face. This just turned the hope that I had that DB was going to turn a corner into the disappointment of that is simply not possible, and burned all the goodwill previously generated.
With 10% new crew added to the portal, and 1:10 being given back in sorrypulls, this is the absolute minimum possibly acceptable solution.
You generally want to make your customers happy after you disappoint or anger them by messing up, selling them a defective product, or deceiving them. This usually involves going above or giving credit. In digital games where the cost of goods sold is 0, it is common to give extra product, and attempt to appear generous. Sticking us with extra 1/4 crew is going to create more sales to flush those out, not cost you for the 12 electrons used to write a new bit in the database. Selling us a non possible behold for more than the cost of a behold at 34 5* crew isn't going to create the misperception that DB is being generous or valuing it's customers.

That is not true at all. DB pumped millions into the development of this game. Have to pay 2 expensive licences (for the old series and the new one) + staff, customer support, external translation agency etc. That is a huge pile of cash to invest. Not everyone is as lucky as King with their Candy Crush game. Basically for that game you just need a few good level designers. No licences, no flashy graphics etc. But despite that killer revenue...

Not realizing there were hidden/unchecked rogue files.
Prematurely giving Shan the all-clear.
I hope this gives you a better understanding of how things unfolded. We absolutely dropped the ball, and all of us understand the onus is on us to earn your trust. And as Erin mentioned previously, part of that is being more diligent about being more transparent and timely with all of our players.

This is actual really helpful in understanding this situation and thinks for taking the time to point it out. But as a day one player DB has often stated the the need to be more diligent and transparent, in fact Erin has said that before as well, but for long time players it now really sounding hollow and hard to believe.

From where I stand, the above fits the bill. You're suggesting that 1:10 is the absolute minimum. They're giving 1:1.
I got 3 free ones from having ~30 premium pulls. Funnily enough the 10x premium from the event gave me Stranded Odo and then the apology pack gave me another. I already had him at 2* so I finally max starred him. Thanks, DB.

Yup, same here. It really puzzles me. But sadly that is the internet culture of today. Mainly complain, complain, complain nonstop. One should always cherish the things one has - not be unhappy about the stuff one doesn´t have. Not only gamewise...
