I’m not complaining about the free pulls. I got 14 between my 2 accounts. I am, however, surprised at the cost of additional pulls. It might have been better if they had not even offered the ability to purchase additional pulls rather than offer them at the price they offered them at.
I do admit that the decision baffles me a bit. They had to realize that at that price there would be severe backlash on the forums. So rather than something that could’ve been nothing but positive PR after a huge error, they decided to tarnish it and turn it into what many will perceive as a negative.
I do appreciate the gesture. Too bad 3 of my 4 pulls were Marla. FML. I airlocked her every time I got her and airlocked these three too. I'm not even going to put the effort into immortalizing her. Oh well, that's not DB's fault, just bad luck.
Of that, i kept 8 of the crew. It then gave me plenty of honor to do a 5 star behold, of which i chose Emotion chip data, who've i wanted since his pack popped up.
Very happy with everything.
I do agree the 17k pull is a bit high, before it came out i was guessing it would be 10k, which i feel is more reasonable. But the apology was in the free pulls, not be able to buy more from this pack. And with that i am fully satisfied with the resolution.

After literally hundreds of pulls in the last months, I can confirm that this char is missing from the Premium Pulls and he should have been added as well a long time ago since the 4* and 5* crew that were featured along with him on both his first event and later rerun are already on the premium packs.

After literally hundreds of pulls in the last months, I can confirm that this char is missing from the Premium Pulls and he should have been added as well a long time ago since the 4* and 5* crew that were featured along with him on both his first event and later rerun are already on the premium packs.
With rare citations relatively inexpensive, I decided a few weeks ago to use one to FF my copy of JM Riker. It's a workaround, for sure, but at least it's a proactive one.

Admittedly the honor cost is pretty steep, but most of this is probably people complaining just to complain (plus Rule of Acquisition 285). If the packs were solely free compensation pulls and disappeared afterwards without the honor option, then I'm sure people would be complaining that they can't buy more or something.

Guys there was a mistake. It has been resolved. And there is a plan to compensate those who were impacted. Why must we be so negative about it still?
If you have to ask, there's probably no convincing you. It had to be proven to them, as was the case so many times before, and had they not been caught red handed they likely would have shoved it under the rug.
As I expect they have done many, many times before.
And their idea of compensation isn't always adequate. If I spend money on a lie, I expect either a complete refund or equal value. Is this equal value? Who knows. "Coming Soon".
Taking what doesn't belong to you is a good definition of theft. It does not go into why it's been taken. I'm sure many thieves claim how good at heart they are. Taking $$ for falsely labeled goods is theft, Treble damages are used to discourage trying to get away with it. If all you had to do was return what was taken AFTER getting caught, then the only wrong would be getting caught.
This is a case of getting caught. And not the first time. If i had zero chance of getting what i was offered, then the least i should get is a refund. Any further chances i want to take should be up to me. Not decided by who has taken possession of what does not belong to them.

I'm usually a pretty harsh critic, but I have to agree with you on this one. It's disappointing, as frankly, I think they did the right thing as far as compensation for screwing up. The whole honor thing if you wanted another helping aside, it was a very good call.

They are meant to make up for the lack of the newer crew appearing in the premium pull packs to begin with though. For those who can't get enough dilithium for a premium 10x, the honor is a fine alternative. Especially given the fact you can't buy premium 10x with honor and you already have the option to get a super rare behold with honor.
It's like if you were to go to the store and buy something that goes on sale the day after you buy it. Some stores would allow you to return and rebuy or give you the difference. But someone who comes in on the day of the sale would just get the sale price straight off and so would be spending money with no real visible refund/discount beyond what they already had.

This was a huge step forward for DB in accountability. Great job. As for the honor cost, its too steep for me, but I think it's fair...between a citation and behold.

The naming is a bit poor which isn't unexpected given the company putting it out (I mean, going by the name you just knew there would be complaints). I'd guess the option to buy is there because for it to be in the time portal it probably has to have a cost? It looks like they tried with the price to say this is better than a behold from the huge pool, but not as good as a citation. Whether folks agree with that "value" is another question...

OK, I was one of the math-impaired who didn't realize how many free pulls I would actually get, which turned out to be 17. To say I was pleasantly surprised is an understatement. I wound up getting 4 new crew, 3 existing crew fully fused, and adding stars to 3 others. The other 7 pulls all became honor points. I feel this solution was just perfect.

Even tho we're talking premium in this thread, I've received the new Janeway in the standard portal. I don't think I got Gaia Odo though but I do remember getting the new Janeway. I haven't seen the new Spock though, which is understandable as I doubt there would be an instance of that given they said it was completely exclusive to that one event.
