Okay... here's the thing. I acknowledge that mistakes happen, but I felt the need to vent for a sec. I think anyone playing STT for a few months or more begins to realize that it's really a card collecting venue more than a game. That being said, many times you want something because it looks cool more than you need it for gameplay.
I actually decided to pour a lot of resources into competing for this Adira Tal card because I thought it looked cool. Though I'm far from the top 100, I still used around 40 shuttle tokens, countless speed boosts, and a handful of 2x bonuses.
I do not mean to offend the game artists. I want to make that clear. BUT, if the correct Adira artwork had been on the card from the beginning, I'll be honest, I wouldn't have used all those resources to compete. I fully realize that artwork is likely to appear on another card sometime soon, so I'll have access to it eventually. However, the fact is I've now used a lot of resources to compete in a faction event that I wouldn't have competed in otherwise.
I would ask that STT consider putting the other artwork back on the card. I know that's unlikely... but if not that, at least maybe provide some sort of compensation for the mistake. I'm not a whale, and the shuttle boosts don't flow to me as freely as others. If another faction comes along that I want to compete in, I'm kind SOL now for a while.

I'd say both artworks are nice, but very different in tone, so if someone wanted cuddly weighted blanket Adira, it's understandable they'd be justifiably upset. It's weird it happened so late.
This is the FFFE card from a fleet mate Luelen [TLA] (The Liberal Alliance) who got very lucky to got her in the first day of the event in the Dabo portal and fused her up to max on Thursday...
Personally I also used a lot of Shuttle boosts, time savers and double ups including additional shuttle tokens to scor this card (for the robed graphics).
The robed Adira is so iconic for than specific episode.
In the episode, they/them finally is having accessed her symbiot to all her former hosts.
The card traits: Human, Trill, Spiritual, Musician and Prodigy
Now let's compare Adira in Earth Security Inspector uniform compared to the Trill Joining robes:
That Adira as officer is joined but has no access to the memories and experiences. It's just a ”normal” Adira - kind of a Wesley Crusher - highly skilled but very unsecured in herself. This also means that they/them is a good scientists (does not fit with the diplomacy and command numbers the card got).
Also: The traits do not fit it. That Adira would be definitely something different, e.g. Undercover operative , as they’re/them was doing their own things, even sabotaging the transporter devices to be able to stay longer and do her research (trait saboteur?).
So, that's not ”Adira Tal” as they/them has NO access to the symbiont TAL. They try to help them to access Tals memories. This only happens in that specific episode where she is joined, getting a full symbiosis to all her previous hosts and memories.- a highly spiritual moment.
It just does not make sense.
If Tilting Point messed up the graphics, than the now messed up the traits, as they are not aligned with that now depicted Adira (not joined with Tal).
Give us back a joining ceremony Adira Tal - and/or rename this card to something else and adjust the traits.

The I.S.S. Discovery in the Mirror Universe does NOT have a spore drive line the U.S.S. Discovery. The MU uses the mycelium spores only as an energy source for the I.S.S. Charon (”Imperial Palace”.
So, why does that ship schematic has that trait? Please remove and adjust it.
(and as a fan of Romulans - please give the Romulan Praetor Shinzon his Romulan trait back? Reman => he was only raised by remans in the mines and is a human Picard clone - so, only having the traits human and reman and excluding Romulan for the ruler of the Romulan empire doesn't make sense. Romulan Picard and data are also not genetically Romulans but pose as them and got the trait

Lol, I feel the opposite. I prefer the 5* cards to have the 'pivotal moment' artwork, and leave the straight-up art to the 3-4* cards.
Well, if the changed artwork represents them post-Trill, the Traits still fit. And it does look like a Disco-style uniform they are in......
The inside baseball part of me would love to know more about this switch though. The reward listing went live Wednesday - how'd we make it to Monday morning before someone realized that somehow the wrong art got used?
But overall, I'm happier with the new art.
I should finish in the 500's, spent a ton of boosts, and to be honest I have no idea how they could compensate us for that. Give everyone in the 1500's thirty boost packs?
I mean, something would be better than nothing. Frankly... if I had my pick of compensation, I would say give everyone (and I mean everyone) a free copy of the new snuggly blanket Tal card via global gift.

At least they'll have a blanket in the freezer.
But really, that would be unfortunate. Especially since the other side of the coin in my original post of not wanting to offend the game artists is that the snuggly Tal artwork is awesome in my opinion. Fantastic choice there! Snuggly Tal deserves at least a 4* card (I'd easily make it a 5*). It was a huge moment for them in the show.
By far, the better artwork was the "bait" artwork.......
TBH, I think the show runners did a great job. They didn't hit us over the head with it, simply used a couple of lines to get the message across and left it at that. Because it shouldn't be a big thing really.
So they didn’t just change the art they changed the items. They didn’t just switch one art for another but one card for another. If the towel Adira is in a Tuesday pack and not in a future event I will be quite angry.
If towel Adira ends up in a Tuesday pack, the only fair thing to do is make a swap for anyone who wants it.
I'm one of the people who go for a ranked reward for the art, occasionally, and knowing that it could change in the last few minutes of an event is a bit disappointing.
Personally, I'm not fussy about the artwork as I was looking at their Voyage scores, rather than their artwork. But that's just me.
