The ban is completely wrong headed. If they are worried that someone got an advantage because of their programming error then they should give the rest of us whatever the reward was for free instead of punishing people for clicking on a button.
This is not right at all. Luckily I was doing something else when this happened. But If I seen buy again I would have kept hitting it for those items also.
A number of my fleets members who are very new to the game got banned for 72 hours for this mess. I normally do not get angry for mistakes made in a game, I understand that bugs happen in games as I have been a online gamer since 1996. But the action today by TP is an OUTRAGE!!!
I am a VIP level 14 player, hell as much as I've spent I would be a VIP level 100 player. And if this is not immediately reversed and fixed, I will NOT spend another penny on this game. I don't care what you dangle in front of me.
Bans on macro users were 8 hours. But this warrants 72?
This game is literally hanging by a thread. Many mega whales who dropped $25k+ have retired in recent months due to staleness of the game and rng mechanics. There literally has not been a new thing to play in the game in over a year, not since skirmishes. (I don't count a glorified card collecting feature as a new game mode).
but we think 72 hour bans isn't a knee jerk response here?
wow ...
$25K? Y'all crazy...

This is just yet another instance of them showing their appreciation of their customers.
I think we have seen a screw up from them at least twice a week since they took over that screwed over the players. We barely even got apologies from them over that.
Now we all get banned for a screw up that benefits players. Their screw up.
I dn’t mind returning the ISM etc that I got too much of. OR the ban that I cant finish my event. However, I mind very much being punished TWICE. And I seriously hope that I still have everything I had BEFORE their error. If they truly took more ISM and constellations and stuff, I am seriously angry. There are people botting this game that go free, but if I click a button more than once, I get stripped.
I really hope that they will see that I and many others didn’t do this out of malice, but because for once, we thought we were lucky....
By removing active fleet members you're punishing entire fleets during an event, including countless individuals who did not click the button.
I want to be angry, but banning consistent, paying customers - along with completely innocent bystanders - FOR YOUR OWN MISTAKE is so bizarre it's almost funny.
This is COMPLETE WRG/TP BS....go ahead, and get your “banning” fingers going here because people are now rightly PO’d....and this time you’re stepping WAY over the line, and have no reasonable excuse for blaming the customer for your own incredible lack of QA....it has become a running joke, every “new” modification is a foul up to one degree or another...I am closing my wallet as well, and if I can reverse a LTO crew purchase this week, I will....

DAILY screw ups from TP. Almost not a day goes by now where TP hasn't FUBARED something, but they accept NO responsibility. Its the players fault. Complete, total incompetency from top to bottom, none of these people could hold a "real" job with consequences for their incompetence.

I am one of those quiet, every day players. I complete all my dailies. Have made every achievement except one. Spent more money on this in nearly five years than I would like to admit. I've thought about stopping a few times. There was always just one more collection to complete. One more character to obtain. Another sale on crew. I just couldn't stop. I was enjoying the game.
Until now.
I work in IT. I understand code. I accept that there will be bugs. I've been the victim of bugs in this game several times. That 1000 item limit? That's a bug. They wont fix it. There have been others.
So today the bug did not hurt me. It helped me. I used it. I pressed that button again and again.
And all that stuff I picked up was taken away. They corrected their bug. Fine
But - I was been banned.
This is the incentive I need to drop out. A company that penalizes the customer for taking advantage of the bug in their code is not worth patronizing.

Is there a reason we're blaming Ben for this? Considering his job title, I highly doubt he was heavily involved in this response. I suspect Shan was more implicated in this decision (I'm not saying it was solely her choice, but moreso that in her role as Player Support she's more likely to have been present for these discussions than a Product Manager).

This is utter crap i was in 1st place and now i'm screwed over, as so many others have said, ya click a button , we are also loseing out on campaign and daily fleet rewards also daily dill if you get that, in past when this happened and the company screwed up, it got let go, and nothing happened cause i have had fleet members quit over it when thousands in game got many many millions of credits that they all got to keep, TP your a piece of ****. i want a refund of the many 5*, 4* speeders and 2x doublers i spent to get to 1st place... im so pissed off...

Bad code is not the player’s fault. Otherwise hand out bans for all the other button mash exploits that have already happened.
Honestly, with a faction phase going on right now, the forums are way more entertaining than the game would be at the moment. 😀

I think I just had a post removed, and it was immediate. A matter of a few seconds. If so, someone is at least listening. 😂

Trust me... they know.
WHOA WHOA WHOA APOLOGIES!!
I WAS WRONG AND IT WAS A DUMB PARANOID MISTAKE!!!
I did not refresh properly.
Totally on me, but I can’t help but feel a little paranoid at this stage.
And sorry about the all caps. 🖖

Its more like a SNAFU moment
