God, I'm glad I popped my head back into the game this week. There's nothing I love more than a DeBacle.
Let's not all forget too that there's a history of "if you don't strike while the iron is hot, you miss out." Remember when the achievements accidentally reset and anyone who claimed them again got a HUGE windfall of honor right before last year's honor sale? And if you didn't click through, you got nothing? Pepperidge Farm remembers.
Pepperidge Farm also remembers when they did the 650 pack that gave you 1,000 dil - like @Banjo1012 said. Everyone said they'd just do a rollback or account reset so a bunch of people did stupid things with the free dil. It then became apparent that DB lacked the ability to see what your account activities were in order to do so. So you'd really, really think that the QA team would go into overdrive in order to prevent a pack error from happening again.
Glad to see the system hasn't improved in the past three years and you still can't tell what people did. That's probably why they didn't reverse the honor miracle -- too hard to track on the backend spaghetti.
I did not take advantage of this glitch, only because I didn't log on in time to do so. I want to be really clear. @Shan if TP proceeds with "disciplining" Captains who took advantage of YOUR COMPANY'S MISTAKE, I will walk away from this game and NEVER look back.
I have given you literally hundreds of dollars (plus lots more if you include what I've done via the Offer Wall), and in recent weeks, TP has burned players' trust multiple times. You have ignored our requests and given us "features" that no one asked for. You've had mistaken roll-out after mistaken roll-out. Every time a new feature goes live, there's a new bug of one kind or another.
And now you DARE to punish players for your mistake? I swear this is a production of The Producers and you are trying to tank the game.
TP made the mistake, not any of the captains you have thought to punish. The right thing would be for TP to credit every player with some bonus items and ask for OUR forgiveness. Anything short of that is an insult.
I've already cut back on my spending because I don't trust TP, and as currently constituted, I have no interest in giving you another penny. Throw out a few olive branches to us and start treating us like customers, and I might return to financially supporting your work. I believe in giving credit where credit is due and rewarding good corporate behavior. Right now, I see no reason to do either for TP.
In summary, disciplining captains for your mistake would be the last and irreconcilable straw for me, and I don't think I'm alone. If you want to tank the game overnight, feel free to continue with this plan of punishment. Otherwise, the next words you post had better begin with, "I apologize for even considering my previous post, and I will never again propose such a thing."
I urge you to deliberate carefully about your next step.
I know there was a glitch with getting infinitive constellations, but now everything that I had is now missing and It’s reset to zero.
There has to be regulatory agencies that they are overseen by. Taking actions against players, because their programmers can't code is beyond wrong. There was a big yellow button that said "PURCHASE AGAIN". None of us put that button there. They did. They are compounding incompetence with overt acts of dishonesty?!?!?
And had any of that happened when I made my statement?
No.
Actually, that was posted in another thread. I think it was time-stamped before your post. Whether it was or not, no need to take it like someone kicked your cat.
Have a nice day.
"The truth is like a lion; you don't have to defend it. Let it loose; it will defend itself."
Are you kidding me? A 72-hour ban for pressing buttons on my screen?
The mistake was yours, not mine.
I may not bother coming back at all. As a VIP-14, 4-year+ player, I truly appreciate the incentive to stop supporting this game. I do feel bad for my fleet mates and squad members though.
"Thanks" TP for taking my ISM compledly. Now I have less than before you reward. I didn't liked the new feature before - now you can get it back. I don't want it anymore
A 72 hour ban for your mistake? We'll see if I still remember the game is installed on my phone in 72 hours. This might be what I need to kick the habit.
Taking all crew retrieval resources and banning accounts for 72 hours is not only draconian and unwarranted, but a hell of a lot swifter than any response to issues adversely affecting players.
I'm not playing the game for 72 hours in solidarity with those penalised. During that time I'll consider if I'm coming back.
WRG test tour game before releasing it. 72 hours of inactivity will hurt many fleets, many players and at the end your revenue. I will not spend any more money on this game. Because you can’t ship a good product.
As Walter White would say: F&@k you and your eyebrows!
Holy freaking shirtballs. You just banned a large chunk of the playerbase during an active event. People are going to go nuts. Some might miss the mega legendary. You're killing fleet activity targets.
COME JOIN ME IN RETIREMENT, BROTHERS. VALHALLA AWAITS YOU.
Did everyone that clicked on that pack more than once get the 72-hour ban? Even if you did it twice? I clicked it a few times not sure if it was registering correctly, but ended up clicking another 20 times at least. I guess I can relax for a few days.
So, they put a click/buy again button, and they are penalizing those who click on it?
TP: is going to be cheaper to invest in QA than refunding all those monthly cards, packs, etc bought by the people you are banning for your incompetence.

I will definitely miss it as I only have about 5k VP. Don't care.
Clicked a button that they put on my screen a few times then realised it was actually giving me stuff each time so stopped. Got banned. Guess it's time to quit this garbage. What an absolute joke.
Take your stupid crap back if you guys are going to be such children about something that was your fault. Of all the years where developer mistakes were lucky days for players, now, you not only penalize but ban loyal players? Disgusting! I didn't break in, hack, steal or use 3rd party software to do something unethical. I claimed an offered reward. I am truly considering ending this habit over this disrespect and overreach.
Here's a thought: don't ship bugs. Giving us a button is not an exploit, that's developer incompetence. Don't blame your customers that you've trained to mindlessly tap buttons.
I've got a lot of receipts stretching back to 2016 for money I put into this game. Would be a shame if something happened to it all because WRG is being punitive towards players to cover for their own mistakes.
Well TP if you wanted to kill your game and lose income you have with this knee-jerk and ill thought through response. We have seen many debacles but this will be the icing on the cake for many players.
You are banning players for 72 hours during an event for something that was a mistake by TP - outrageous.
I can but hope that you will see the communities response to this and roll-back your decision.
If not it might be time to hang up my admiralty and go into retirement.
I've been playing this game since 2016, and honestly, lately it has felt like a chore to log in and keep up with the dailies solely for the achievement stars. In all the years I've played this, I was never on the lucky side of all these errors, except today I found myself collecting the freebies at the right time. Now, I've been banned for 72 hours. Fortunately, this is the push I needed to just give up this game altogether. Ironically, at the end of my playing time, this is also my first post on this forum.

If there is a “discipline” hammer being dropped my response will be quite simple:
No. More.Monies.
Ever. Again.

So I did, a few times. Decided enough was enough. Now I'm banned. This is just too much....
I hate go all dramatic and say I'm leaving and never logging my vip14 account in again, but I guess that's just what I'll do.

This seems a good a time as any to actually go that route.
