Are there any stats at all for Mirror Jadzia? I want to see her gauntlet rolls.

In the event notes (nothing good for gauntlet)...

    Mirror Jadzia Dax (New) 4*
    Fully Fused Fully Equipped Level 100 Skills: SEC 958 (137-274), ENG 500 (118-269), SCI 314 (67-167)
Traits: Trill, Terran Empire, Casual, Desperate, Romantic, Mirror Universe
  • I'm surprised that 2 hours into Shan's update that no one's mentioned that Mirror Dax is now the best 4* Security card. Her stats being: SEC 958 (137-274), ENG 500 (118-269), SCI 314 (67-167). I guess that fight for top 2000 is gonna be fun.

Certainly I'll go for her. But with so many Sec crew, particularly among the last three Mega-event 5*'s there may not be as much interest as you think. Though of course, everyone loves Jadzia. :*

Can someone explain to me why every Mega-Event legendary is a copy of another Mega-Event legendary?

Good thing is, he is somewhat useful in Gauntlet and quite useful for shuttles and voyages. Bad thing, he is as uninspired in terms of diversity as almost everything introduced in the past.

Not as disappointing as expected, but still not thrilled.

It's to keep the value of the common cards down and not compete with the value of other 4/5 and 5/5 non mega-event crew. This way, the cards with variety are more coveted and worth more, and if you miss one mega event, the next mega event covers what you missed.

It's also a lot easier to not use any creativity and use any supporting characters. The big names that are well recognized and pivotal are all going to be leaders, thus cmd.
  • You know, it would have made total sense to have the Blood and Circuses pack in the portal. People would have snapped up the chance to get more Mirror crew.

I could accept this argument, but:
    - Kortar: Hardly pivotal character (well, in Klingon mythology maybe), but only appears in one Episode and only in a "dream"
    - T'Kuvma: Appears in two Episodes and was never mentioned before anywhere.
    - Mirror Picard: Non-canon

Borg Queen I can accept as a pivotal and important.

Better would have been another Smiley version in my opinion...Kira already exists as legendary, she would have been the best choice if that wouldn't be the case...
  • Yay, a 3rd Klingon in a row for mega event crew. So exciting. I love this useful variety.

Picard is DIP, even Mirror Picard. I'm super happy that he's Picard, even though the rendering is too blocky for my taste, and the skills are unnecessarily redundant.

This is pretty out of touch. It's very easy to get people excited for a 4/5 mega-event crew, as players have provided enough feedback for how to do that. I don't think DB is acting in their own best interest.

I think a lot of players will have mixed thoughts over this. It's like they almost listened to us.

Unfortunate that almost all month event crew have been heavily security with only one other skill. It makes them far less useful and not as necessary to get when we already have many security crew.
    Let’s fly!
  • I'm somewhat (and pleasantly) surprised we get 2x4* crew on a single event (with potential to FF both of them) PLUS a 5* freebie.
I want to become a Dilionaire...
  • I personally think Mirror Picard is a bit too powerful...

But the thing is, with him, Borg Queen and T'Kuvma.. There is almost no point keeping any 1/5 that specialises in CMD. I've got Captain Sisko for example who I've not bothered to level and might have to airlock now, simply because he's not going to get used enough.

I'll have three characters with a CMD base of over 1000 (after Starbase bonus), but my best MED isn't even up to 850.

I do know some people are disappointed in Picard but his command/security stats are good enough to compete in Gauntlet if you don't have a good range of characters there. So for newer players he is extremely helpful there.

Overall I am not a big fan of this week's event for the simple fact that I don't think the stats of the ranked characters are worth it for me to heavily participate. I have a very limited number of crew spaces anyways so it gives me a reason to just get to threshold and have a relaxing weekend.

Well that was crazy - seeing Dax ranked rather than threshold (and absent-mindedly forgetting that there are community rewards so I'll get one anyway) I emptied my meagre post-try-to-get-Culber dilithium savings on a single event pack. Got a Dax (yay) and four beholds, including a legendary. Has someone been playing with Martus Mazur's magic probability balls, or...?

I'm not...since every Galaxy Event within a Mega Event has that...so it's exactly what everybody expected from this event.

Congratulations, that is indeed some really good luck. I did 2 pulls (praying there'd be no Hoshi, as I have enough of her), and got 2 Daxes, so I will happy stop at either 25 or 55k this event. I can always get her 4th star with Honor, because she's got some really mean security stat when she's fully fused.

We may be getting a non-canon Mirror Picard, a mediocre art Mirror Dax and a Funny Nose Reed, but let's face it, they are actually quite useful. Mirror Picard will likely rock voyages where you sacrifice SCI for CMD or SEC, and Mirror Dax has an amazing SEC stat for a super rare, comparable to Robin Hood Picard (and better than him for voyages with 1164 total before the Starbase bonus is applied).

Sadly, Funny Nose reed does get the bad end of the bargain, but 2/3 decent characters is a good thing IMO.

Is it too late to change the ranked 3* crew to Jazz Musician Riker?

Just curious, in the context of the event, how that would make any sense? Riker isn't event crew and it's not a mirror version of Riker so not sure at all why it would make sense to include that specific crew?

And Memory Beta is wrong -- and here's why. From the script of From the Looking Glass:

SISKO: Trying to reach Terok Nor using small fighters didn't work. But we need to get Jennifer off that station, and we need to get her off there soon.
BASHIR: We've been meaning to talk to you about that.
TUVOK: Mister Bashir is not convinced that you can persuade your former mate to join our cause.
SISKO: I can be very persuasive.
BASHIR: Look, I don't even know why we're bothering to discuss this. The Cardassians destroyed your ship way before it got even close to Terok Nor. And even if you had made it there, there was no guarantee you could've convinced your wife of anything.
O'BRIEN: (sotto to Sisko) Hit him. That's what the Captain would do. Go on, hit him.
BASHIR: Let's face it, Captain, the woman hates you.
    (Sisko knocks Bashir down.)
SISKO: What my wife thinks of me is no concern of yours.
DAX: (with weapon) Anyone else want to disagree with the captain?
SISKO: Put it away, Dax. Go on, put it away.

SISKO: Well, I'm glad to see the two of you are getting along.
DAX: We have a lot in common. He's all yours.
JENNIFER: Dax tells me you're leaving.

As we can now see, he’s correct about that other person being wrong. Jadzia is referred to as Dax, so she does have the symbiote. In all likelihood, the Dax symbiote died with Jadzia in the mirror universe, though I suppose it could have been saved somehow, but whatever the case, we know that the Dax symbiote did not end up in Ezri in the mirror reality. Instead, she remained Ezri Tegen (I have no idea if I spelled that correctly.) and we never truly learn of what happened to Dax, just Jadzia.
Weirdly enough, I’m also Vulcan Housewife. Also, RNGesus hates me, like really, REALLY hates me.

His work is amazing. I think his Mirror Worf might be the best art in the entire game. I'm not sure if he did Dr. Chaotica but thats but there too.

Ezri only got the Dax symbiont in regular universe by accident. Jadzia was killed young by Dukat when she just happened to be in the bajoran temple on ds9. Then Ezri was on the ship transporting Dax symbiont to trill when the symbiont got sick and had to be implanted. That is a lot of chance and happenstance for it to be duplicated in mirror universe.

There's already a huge amount of chance involved in Jadzia receiving Dax. He's had multiple hosts already and she wasn't supposed to be a host anyway. Most of the Mirror Universe makes absolutely no sense whatsoever

Agreed. The longer the two universes existed the more they would be different. I never thought it made sense that the same people were in leadership in both universes in DS9. Many of the DS9 people may never have even been born.
