LOL, DB staff meeting. Alright guys, long awaited addition! Federation's flagship, top of the line. What traits should we give it?
Fighter. Sure.
(On a lighter note, that trait comes up a lot in Voyages, so might be helpful.)
EDIT: If one felt like being VERY pedantic, one could argue that she was forced to sit out most of the war, according to the dialog in Star Trek Insurrection. But I digress. Good traits to have.
I can see the War Veteran trait: The U.S.S. Enterprise-E did serve honorably in the Borg Incursion of 2063. That's a long service history, as it continued to serve through 2379.
It's been a while since I've seen the episode, but I was skeptical that Archer had SCI at all. Now he's one of the top Super Rares in terms of base SCI? Ahead of actual scientists?

He was actively working on a cutting edge warp engine.

Ambassadors Sarek and Spock have similar questions about Victorian Pulaski's DIP skill.

Does a battle against a single Borg Cube, a War make?

Does a battle against a single Borg Cube, a War make?
And it wasn't even the indestructible TV Borg Cube. It was that papermache Movie Borg Cube like we have in the game.

True, but (with the important caveat that I haven't read the comic book that inspired this Pulaski), DIP is at least associated in this game with Doctors, and Victorian Pulaski is a DIP primary. Power creep generally means new characters are going to be stronger than old, even if it doesn't make much sense in terms of actual abilities. Even if her numbers "shouldn't" be that high, at least the skill assignment makes sense.
However, this is the first Archer to have SCI from an episode where he doesn't (at least based on my fuzzy memory and skimming Memory Alpha) have THAT much to do with SCI (without getting into too much of a debate, engines are generally associated with engineers even though SCI is obviously involved). His interest in the dark matter in the present (rather than the flashback when he actually was a Test Pilot/Headset wearer) is nice, but non-scientists can appreciate beauty just fine. Assuming there's not something super-sciency I'm just forgetting, giving him SCI as his primary skill and at such a high base number among super rares is (for as little as anything in this game matters in a cosmic sense) just silly. And if that's the rationale, then depict him from the present, not the Headset flashback.
Enough. I've wasted far too much of everyone else's time on this.
His father was a creator of that engine. So at that point Jonathan Atcher has devoted himself for perfecting that engine, he spent years in a cockpit simulation calculating everything and calibrating the engine.
He was the main warp theorist behind that test NX-beta project.
Is it me or does that look wrong? I'm sure the E had a more elongated hull and the nacelles were swept back. Hopefully it's going to look better in the game but that looks more like the Jar Jar Enterprise than Picards E.
Dangit, two tries, two (superfluous) Janeways, no Pulaski for me. Could give it a third shot with this afternoon's daily dilithium... but eh, still got Victorian Pulaski, I think I'll save for the future.
I swore I would never do these pulls again, but I did anyway. "Hi, my name is David and it's been 9 and a half hours since I last wasted dilithium..."
I figured I needed an Archer and would like another Pulaski. I did three pulls. I got lots of honor, 2 Janeways, (which I don't have, but don't need since I'll get them in the event,) and an Archer. I also got 3 purple beholds giving me the final star on three crew, so it wasn't too bad.

Son of the famed warp field specialist Henry Archer and the man who figured out how to stabilise for warp 2.5. I'd say that's science enough to justify.
In the event intro, Janeway refers to Commander Archer as “Captain Archer”. I guess she also realizes it’s the old Captain Archer art with a headset and erased pip?
Wow I did 4 pulls, and first 3 were Pulaski back to back, and then the fourth was an archer, Don't think ive ever been that lucky in this game ever, I need to play the lotto for sure lol. Shes my highest med crew now.
Where one of the Skirmishes does not even have an Event Bonus Ship?!?!?
I am sorry but this is the perfect example of a thread that I cannot do much with.
Could you provide more details?
Also why did it need to be a separate discussion instead of being part of the already existing event discussion?
On that note I am merging it with the event discussion.

Scott, stop me if I’m wrong here, but it looks like the issue is that there is no bonus ship in the Normal category while Elite and Epic have two each.

Aha!
That is indeed it I believe and logical as there is no 2* bonus ship listed - but I get that it makes it a bit odd as well. I will pass it along! Thank you.

Yeah. That is what I meant. Sorry. The ongoing illness goes on, and I had not been awake for long when I posted. Was up most of the again, then slept Three or four hours.
It just seems weird.

Nothing will be changed for this event obviously but we will see what we can do for future skirmish events.

4th pack had Archer. Was disappointed, but then I remembered the reason I was pulling was to FF him after thresholds.

Design and testing would still be engineering.

So just a bunch of honor and upgraded two ships...so about the same luck as most.
