Still being spammed relentlessly because of this. Still NOTHING from TP or DB. disgusting.
I'm sure most of them are off work over the weekend. Even if they were working, I wouldn't expect another update for another couple hours at the absolute soonest. Personally, I don't expect an update until Wednesday or Friday, but I hope to get one sooner since this is such a hot button topic.
I will not have an update this morning. I do not know when I will have more information to share, I hope before the end of the week.
I'm afraid I've had to cease all spending on the game until we know what the situation is. As well as reverting to the steam version of the game. I do hope this can be resolved sooner rather than later.

Ditto on the spending. I've got $35 that I want to spend, so it's a shame. If they run a good deal on dilithium while recap packs are up, I'll buy that too, if they can get this resolved by then.

No more monthly dilithium cards.
No more Campaigns.
No more event packs.
Not another € until this is resolved satisfactorily.
Answers to one of my earlier posts on this thread suggested money was the main reason TP have done this.
TP will now have to determine whose money is more valuable to them, in the short- and long-term.

Same here. Ive also decided that i will refrain from watching any ads for the double up/free spin. Drop in the bucket, but they will not be making any revenue off of me until this is dealt with.

I also stopped with the ads. It's unfortunate, but I've stopped watching the clock and setting timers. I've become less shackled to my phone.

No ads is no problem for me on all days except Thursday, since I like to stock up on 3* time reducers...that’s ten to twelve fewer ad views per week from me. Annoying as that is, it’s not going to be a problem if I have to jump ship entirely.
This is the first mobile game I ever actually spent real money on. So as a paying customer, I'd like to speak the following directly to your executives:
First of all, I'm never going to use the offer wall. So you're not going to extract any value from me that way.
Secondly, as someone concerned about digital privacy, I'm not going to give my money to a company that put such a thing in, coupled with massively increased data tracking. So you're not going to extract any MORE value from my bank account going into the future.
So the only value you're going to get is by mining my data. And I'm an IT professional who has been too lazy to install a pi-hole of my own but. . . I think that may change based entirely on this single issue (since as a Star Trek fan, I love this game and that hasn't changed - I intend to keep playing it).
I love it so much, I would actually pay a small monthly subscription fee for some small amount of dilithium and all the tracking stuff turned off. I mean it. I'll pay you $10.99 a month to take out all the tracking, take out the offer wall and for. . . say 100 dilithium a week. I'll even keep tapping on the ads for other games before I set my iPad down and close my eyes for 30 seconds.
I bet a bunch of your other customers would too. Especially if you made some kind of statement about you heard your player base and want to be reactive to our concerns and want to be a better, more ethical company. Maybe part of the kinder, more hopeful future Star Trek dares us to dream about, rather than just another fungal parasite growing on the intrusive internet advertising pipeline.
I will not have an update this morning. I do not know when I will have more information to share, I hope before the end of the week.
Thank you for the update, but - and this isn't directed at you personally, you do a great job - it's not a great look that this is taking so long.
It makes it look like our data was an afterthought, and there's been no processes in place, and that's been the case since launch, which is a bit deflating.
My monthly Dil subscription expired. It hasn't been renewed. I am not planning on any spending until the mobile version of the game is proven secure. I am waiting for the excellent questions raised to be answered and some more clarity on what IronSource actually can extract versus not. I've loved the product up to this point. Thank you!

This.
That it's taking so long sure gives the impression that TP is now trying to figure out, "What have we gotten ourselves into" instead of previously asking, "What might we be getting ourselves into."
My monthly card finishes tomorrow. Will not be renewing until this is clarified. In fact, for as long as this takes to get resolved, it will take at least that many days afterwards before I will even consider starting it back up again.
DO NOT use these kinds of offer walls in any apps. They are dangerous and predatory. IF you choose to use them, never under any circumstances give them any real information. Use a fake name, fake address, and create a throw away email address from a place like Yahoo. UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES should you give your phone number or buy anything from any of these offers.
I say again, these offer walls are DANGEROUS AND PREDATORY AND IT'S DISGUSTING THAT DB/TP/WHOEVER HAS PUT THEM IN THE GAME. The entire purpose of these offer walls is data harvesting. It's a bad sign of where things are headed since this game was taken over by TP. Things are going downhill and they will go downhill fast. Until the offer wall is removed, I will not be renewing my monthly card (expired two days ago) which I've had for over 3 years consecutively and I will certainly not be making any other purchases for this game.
EDIT: Forgot to mention that I've also watched my last in-game ad as well.
Frustrated that some amount of development time went into this poorly implemented, borderline dangerous feature when so many systems in the game that try to extract money or time from us are poorly implemented (the "watch an ad" feature which is mostly me staring at articles about heart disease or something, scans as a concept overall, etc.)
This wall does NOTHING for the game but cheapen it. I am cancelling my monthly card and not spending another dime on this game. If its about the money, I'll KEEP MINE
These unscrupulous companies TP choose to inflict upon the players have no regard for player privacy, there's a reason they have to resort to 'offer walls' to harvest your valuable data, no-one would willingly provide it or download their awful apps otherwise. This 'feature' needs removing and fast.
Ditto on the spending. I've got $35 that I want to spend, so it's a shame. If they run a good deal on dilithium while recap packs are up, I'll buy that too, if they can get this resolved by then.
I'll just add my voice. No more spending and no more ad-warps until there can be clear and believable assurances about the security of our data. Once, I felt good about spending a little money on the game (monthly cards, campaigns, the occasional other purchase) because I felt I was supporting the continuation of a game I enjoyed and supporting the creation of new content for the game. I was OK with the ad-warps, because I figured they could use the revenue and "watching" a few ads didn't seem so bad. The offer wall, though, not only raises security and privacy concerns (some of which may have been there all along, but were easier to ignore previously), but also seems ethically questionable. Linking to surveys that request private information that NO ONE should be giving to any stranger on the internet is not something that any trustworthy organization would do.
If TP wanted to ‘give away dilithium’ they should have come up with more achievements. Expand the immortalization achievement, add new ones such as ‘3 star all cadet missions’ or complete episode one or ‘get all stars on episode one’ etc. there were much better ways to be generous with dilithium than this. plus i can confidently say most of the players would be very happy expanding achievements. just my two cents 🖖

They are not “giving away dil” with the paywall; they are generating revenues from it.
On another ironic note, I started playing STT from a paywall in another game where I spent a few 100’s dollars over a couple of years. I’ve spent a few 1000’s in STT for the last couple of years (and stopped playing the other game). Paywall works on compulsive suckers!!!
I've been playing for a couple months and have purchased monthly cards, campaigns, and several offers. I intended to do so regularly as a thank you for such a great game.
Adding my voice here to let TP know I will no longer support the game financially, including adwarps, until the Offer Wall is removed.
Linking to surveys that request private information that NO ONE should be giving to any stranger on the internet is not something that any trustworthy organization would do.
Not to mention, happily partnering with a company with such a sleazy reputation. This very much tarnishes how the game is perceived, adding an ickyness factor.
So, we're either trusting a company that didn't look into their new partner's history of disgusting practices at all (doubtful), or did, and chose to ignore it (MUCH worse); and likely for a payday from them.
While I admit it's not entirely logical, I find it telling there is no official message in support of wall. The only reason to not simply say "the game and wall are safe" would be if they were entirely aware it would be a lie that would open them up to legal challenge. The silence speaks louder to either being oblivious or indifferent. Neither of these potentials is reassuring. If they had something good to say, I'm sure they would have said it.
I will not have an update this morning. I do not know when I will have more information to share, I hope before the end of the week.

I’m with you, boss (and Idol).
I probably spend about $40 a month on the game on average. Not whale money, but I’m a monetized player.
Just bought my current monthly card last week. I’ll log in daily if for no other reason than to use it, then no mas.
Campaign is 3/4 of the way done. (BTW, side note, TP, thanks for the increasingly crappy golds you’ve been offering for these. It’s hard to believe there isn’t a single Tier 2, 3 or 4, and/or main character gold you couldn’t have used for the last 2 or 3 campaigns. Thx for sort of making amends with Medic Jett as a global gift for the last one, but still.) If this isn’t fixed or improved, I’m not buying the next campaign if it comes with Gary Seven AND a pre mixed Indulgent Seven.
I can see myself going to our retirement fleet in the next month.
It’s true what another player pointed out, that offer walls aren’t really geared for already monetized players. Meaning that basically they’re collections of con games for the poor and the gullible. Not really interested in continuing to support a game or company that has that little respect for its players combined with that ruthless a degree of greed.
It’s up to you to decide what kind of company you want to be and where you want to take the game. I only know what I’m interested and not interested in being a part of. You’re taking inmt in a direction where we’ll be parting company soon.
My monthly card was renewed shortly before but I disliked the current campaign enough already to not getting it in the beginning (the theme is fine, just finding a crappy gold isn't).
While I acknowledge that there are enough people who like to get extra dil for playing other games, I'm not one of them, also stopped watching ads.
All of a sudden I spend much less time in STT. Might be habit-forming.
So I read a comment Paladin27 made about the Android offers and the IOS offers being different. I typically play on my IPad which of course is IOS and the offers an IOS are utter data mining garbage and shouldn’t be allowed to exist anywhere, they’re as awful as awful can get. Tonight however, I tried the Android offers after reading Paladins post and I gotta say I have no issue with those at all. It’s not endless data mining surveys, buy this, etc etc. Many offers you just download a game, no purchase needed, just some time to get to a certain level or such. I have zero issues with what I have encountered on the Android offers, in fact I’m working on about four of them.
A concern I would have however, is it’s pretty darn unfair to people who don’t have access to Android. I mean IOS is worthless in regards to the wall. I also have heard mentioned people exposing a glitch which I think is wrong to but to me that’s a different issue.
If you have access to the Android wall, I say try it out, I think many will use it. If you only have access to IOS, well all I can say is the rage from many of the posts are well deserved because it’s pure garbage.
So, pull back, take a deep breath, pause and reflect. Like @Prime Lorca [10FH] said, we may not get the word from on high until later this week. Let’s be cool, y’all.
