I got really excited when I saw 2,500,000 for final spin, stupidly thinking that was the total.
It's a dabo sale like no other, that part is accurate. But not something I can really take advantage of unfortunately.
Its just incredibly remarkable to me that this is considered a “sale”.

I dont know about you, but I sure as hell have a tonne more credits lying around than dilithium. Seems like a sale to me. And I'm not sure why you would have expected a different loot table since that's never been the case in previous Dabo sales.

For many players that hoarded credits with no real use for them, the sale is probably super awesome, so thats a cool thing.
For new people, or people like me that utilize the replicator to build crew instead of burning chrons, this sale is basically a non starter.
But for those who are happy about the sale, cool! Thats great.
Im just saying that it dosnt seem as much as a “sale” as it seems to be an attempt to wittle down peoples credit hoards.....
I had hoped they would update the loot tables and/or the way the items are chosen. But still, if you have the credits its a good deal. Of course, you still need RMGesus on your side, as evidenced by my 1st day spins.

At vip 14, 1 mill credits costs about 1000 dilithium, so 10 million credits would cost 10,000 dilithium (at vip 14)
We have skirmish in a couple days. THAT is when I’ll be cashing in chrons and will consider what the Dabo table has to offer. Not a moment sooner. (Also, I only have 1.5M credits right now because do several credit pulls each day for the honor, so I’m not able to play now anyway.)

So now they release a different sale using a different resource, and now you can't plan/hoard for the future because you don't know what will be the sale next time. Just remember that credits can be exchanged for honor using 90k pull packs. On the conservative side you get 750 honor per million credits. Cleaning out the dabo costs 10,245,000 which would conservatively get you 7600 in honor. Still pretty good to get the legendary. So I went for it to add another star to Rain.

I've got 35 million credits but I've been between 0 and 50 mil. Depends on what crew replicating I need to do at the time. Credits come and go.

If WRG says they'll never run this dabo sale again and sticks to it, then they might reduce hoarding in the wake of this. Or people might hoard up to 71mil and stop. They have a chance to prevent some hoarding here. Not sure if they'll capitalize on that, though.

Agreed. This does seem a bit confusing, to say the least. Disingenuous at worst.
I like the idea of a Dabo sale, but in light of the anti-hoarding message recently released, the timing is extremely suspect.
I love this idea, but I can’t help but think giving us a bit of notice would have been great as we could have spent a week spending chrons to save up for it and getting excited about it.
Well, even if you plan to hoard expecting this sale, is not the same as honor sales. Here, you "hoard" credits (not much of a use anyway) or don't spend dilithium, depends of how you see it, to cash in on the sale. But you have no control at all of what is offered ('cause the dabo choice of rewards are "random"), and being a different currency, you don't hoard the dilithium, 'cause it won't do you any good in the sale, you just spend it on something else. In honor sales, you save the same currency, to get pretty much what you would get without the sale, is almost dumb not to save.
